ALT Conservator in high viz jacket and red hard hat patiently cleans the yellow border of the frescoed wall in front of her with a cotton bud. The background of the fresco is black and only interrupted by a depiction of a small scene of a silver laden up with a type of bread covered with dried fruit and a type of sauce; some yellow strawberry tree fruit ; some nuts, and a silver chalice of red wine.

ALT Conservator perched on a wooden plank in high viz jacket and red hard hat patiently cleans the yellow border of the frescoed wall in front of her with a cotton bud. Her tools of her trade lie around her. The background of the fresco is black and only interrupted by a depiction of a small scene of a silver laden up with a type of bread covered with dried fruit and a type of sauce; some yellow strawberry tree fruit ; some nuts, and a silver chalice of red wine. To the left the border is a striking red colour with green edges and has ovals top to tail running down it. There is a small vignette of a bull’s skull framed in golden yellow.

ALT A close up detail of the unfinished fresco: the black background gives way to a white border onto which at the bottom have been carelessly dripped some black paint. The yellow border ends roughly awaiting the painting of the more formal border, presumably matching the red and green one on the other side.
