Same. He deserves the position and he's getting it. Not one of the Fraud Squad. It's not a popularity contest.

I’m calling it now. This data center bubble is going to burst.
They’re building too many, too fast, and Americans are fed up. A Gallup poll found 71% oppose having AI data centers built in their communities.
And spare us the China excuse. The U.S. already has more than 12 TIMES as many listed data centers as China. 5,427 to 449!
At some point, somebody is going to be left holding the bag. And it won’t be the billionaires.
One night, when James Talarico was still a baby, his mother packed their things into a little Ford Escort (this is so Texas!) and drove to the hotel where she worked. His father had become violent again.
Tamara asked the hotel manager if she and her baby could stay in one of the rooms. The manager agreed, and they stayed at the hotel until Tamara found a small apartment in East Austin. Sadly, there was no room for a nursery, so she put James’s crib in her closet. Then she decorated it with toys and pictures. Years later, when James told the story, he said his mother was proud of that closet. As far as she was concerned, she had made her son a nursery.
Tamara was a preacher’s daughter from Laredo. She had left home at 19 and moved to Austin, where she met James’s biological father. James was barely a year old when she left him. She later met a man named Mark Talarico, who adopted James and gave him the last name that appeared on the Texas ballot.
Isitoshe,
At church in North Austin, they knew him as Jimmy. A pastor who met him when he was in kindergarten remembered him putting on puppet shows with another pastor. Years later, James was back in a room full of children, this time as the sixth-grade language arts teacher at Rhodes Middle School on the west side of San Antonio.
You may have heard him say in his speeches “if you can be a middle school teacher, politics is easy….”
When James ran for the Texas House in 2018, he talked about the families of the children he had taught. When he ran for the U.S. Senate, he shared an old photo of himself with his mother. It was taken in that little East Austin apartment, back when the two of them had just started over.
On Tuesday night, in the same city where his mother once asked a hotel manager for a room, James Talarico walked onto a stage as Texas’s senator-elect at the age of 37
The last time Texas elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate, Tamara’s little boy had not been born yet.
May the day break

Now that the midterms are over, let me correct the record.
-I wasn't handpicked by Chuck Schumer. I didn't even talk to the man until after I announced.
I’m not sure exactly what a corporate or establishment Dem is, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a first-time candidate or a career military guy. Call me a moderate, I’ll take it. I always think big, but I don’t let idealism get in the way of getting a job done. I’m practical and would take Medikids and lower age limits for Medicare to expand healthcare and drive down costs over nothing at all. In 2028 after a Dem trifecta, I expect bold moves.
-Be an asshole and call me a carpetbagger! So I moved here four years ago, AFTER SERVING IN THE FOR 21 years. I'm here with my family, raising my daughter, and caring for my elderly parents in SoFlo. I decided to run because it was clear that the midterms would trigger a Blue Tsunami, because Trump sucks. And I saw a path to win the general election. I jumped-in to help. Call it a call to serve. Same one from a lifetime of service.
Let's just say I was very skeptical, because hey its Florida, but I wasn't going to sit on my ass when the stakes were so high.
No I didn’t move to Florida to run for Senate! 🙄
-I have some regrets, but even in losing, I delivered 1.5M to Florida candidates and to races that would have otherwise been left short-changed. I feel that in some small way I pitched in to help break the super majorities in the Florida House and Senate.
-I invested 3M in total to campaigns and parties around the country including Iowa, Ohio, Alaska, etc., including in Kansas and South Carolina when few were looking there.
-I wish I had chosen to outspend Angie 20, 10, or even 5 to 1 on the primary. I only spend 2:1 on the primary. Obviously a HUGE mistake. I was too focused on defeating Moody and building real democratic power.
-Angie was tireless in making her case to primary voters, while I was trying to connect with potential crossover voters without first securing my base.
-I neglected to heed the old maxim always fight and finish the battle in front of you.
-I never took a penny from AIPAC. Those claiming otherwise, when they knew better, were playing to the old Jewish dual allegiance troupe.

Scott Colom, a Black Democrat, has flipped Forrest County—named for Ku Klux Klan founding grand wizard Nathan Bedford Forrest—by a 54%-44% margin.
Trump won it 58%-40% in 2024.
It's the county where the KKK murdered civil rights worker Vernon Dahmer.

ChatGPT has now a big problem.
Researchers at Oxford exposed a massive threat to large language models.”
It’s called "Model Collapse."
And it explains why the internet is about to become a toxic waste dump for Large Language Models.
Right now, AI companies are scraping the entire web to train their next-generation models.
But there’s a massive problem.
The internet is no longer just human data. It is rapidly filling up with AI-generated text, images, and code.
What happens when an AI trains on data generated by another AI?
A new paper in Nature just gave us the answer. And it is terrifying.
When AI models are recursively trained on AI-generated data, they suffer from irreversible brain damage.
The researchers found that the model starts forgetting the "tails" of the original data distribution. The rare, weird, unique, and complex human nuances completely disappear.
It's like making a photocopy of a photocopy.
Every generation loses resolution. The output gets flatter, blander, and more generic, until the model completely collapses in on itself.
For years, we thought the biggest bottleneck for AI was compute, getting enough H100 GPUs from Nvidia.
This paper proves the real bottleneck is us.
If we keep flooding the internet with synthetic AI slop, we will poison the very data pool required to build smarter models.
The ultimate irony? We thought AI was going to make human creators obsolete.
Instead, this research proves that verified, genuine human data is about to become the most valuable commodity in the tech industry.

Schumer doesn't look terribly worried about it! 🤣
As Schumer says the new Dem majority prepared to take on Trump, I asked him about the new Dems in his ranks — like Adam Hamilton and Troy Jackson — who want him out as leader and say they won’t vote for him.
“The issue is not me. I'll be reelected as majority leader. But the issue is focusing on the American people and what they want.”

Oh it's bad!! I was shocked my friend fell for it, tbh. Do people think that Republicans would kick their leadership to the curb after an historic win like we had last night?! I think not!

There's definitely an opp going on re: Jeffries and Schumer that I am seeing IRL friends falling into on other platforms. Saw a meme that said they "didn't earn" leadership. WTF? I am telling my friends not to fall for it - hope they listen!

It is inconceivable that $400 million in appropriated military assistance still hasn’t been delivered to Ukraine. I urge the Pentagon to secure the delivery of this essential equipment right away in order to save lives, protect civilians, & help bring about the victory that must be this war’s end.

Criminal. Thank you, @RepStenyHoyer, for calling the Pentagon out on this. This is not Hegseth's money. This is the American people's money appropriated through a democratic process.
