Happy 121st birthday to the NYC Subway, opened on this day in 1904. Like the city itself, you can’t truly love it until there are days where you hate it. But I will always be grateful for it every one of those days.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at tomorrow's #RustNYC! It's a community show and tell (we haven't done one of those in a while!), so come, share your side projects or just something you think is cool!!!

ten years of ITLLT
ITLLT turns 10 years old. i was on tour as Giant Claw and stayed an extra few days in philadelphia with James to record. we wanted to refine what we had started on our previous collab Evangelis. never ever thought it would be heard by more than like 100 people

Evidence that "async functions in traits" (Rust 1.75+) is successfully displacing usage of the old `async-trait` crate at ecosystem scale. Expect a second clear inflection point when async works natively in `dyn Trait`.

Hey @redbull do you use Rust at your company? Would you be willing to consider sponsoring the open source work of one or more of the Rust compiler engineers? I know someone who could make good use of it!

type level programming is immensely satisfying because of the immediate feedback. your language server becomes a REPL and errors are lifted to compile-time. uwu

Every program on earth falls in one of two categories: 1. A compiler 2. A raytracer There are no other programs

I had a lot of fun giving a RustContributor::Explore talk yesterday on dyn* and support async functions in dyn traits. The recording is up on YouTube now: youtube.com/watch?v=6mbPY4Mx… Also, the notes document: hackmd.io/yQAp42MbSy2iLBI0VW…

In the last 2.5 months I ran rustc on around 600.000 files with around 50 different RUSTFLAGS each, so around 30 million rustc executions. :D All ICEs found have been reported and I'd love to repeat the same with debug assertions enabled but it would probably take a year... 😆
