Blacc Sam, @NipseyHussle's brother, "You can't have it both ways. If you say Ethiopia was never colonized, by default, Eritrea was not part of Ethiopia because Eritrea was colonized." Common sense for dummies. #Eritreaprevails

When Ethiopia Founded the #OAU and Helped Establish the #UN, the #UAE Did Not Even Exist! What an extraordinary historical irony. Ethiopia, a founding member of the United Nations in 1945 and the Organization of African Unity in 1963, whose founding summit was presided over by Emperor Haile Selassie, is now implicated in the destruction of neighbouring Sudan through its relationship with the United Arab Emirates, a state that did not come into existence until 1971. I have repeatedly described the UAE as the most intrusive and destructive external power in the Horn of Africa in recent memory, and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, whom I call the sick man of the Horn of Africa, has brought Ethiopia into an increasingly dangerous relationship with Abu Dhabi's regional military ambitions. Reuters has documented a military training facility for Sudan's Rapid Support Forces on Ethiopian territory, with sources identifying UAE financing, trainers, and logistical support. Now UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Denise Brown warns of systematic drone attacks on Sudan's civilian infrastructure, including energy and fuel facilities, leaving hospitals struggling, humanitarian supplies stranded, and vulnerable civilians facing further catastrophe. The implications are staggering. Ethiopia, once a pillar of African diplomacy, Pan-African solidarity, and the principle of African solutions to African problems, is now facing serious questions about its role in facilitating a war marked by atrocities, crimes against humanity, and grave concerns about genocide. What a tragic reversal of Emperor Haile Selassie's diplomatic legacy. The UN Security Council, African Union, and international criminal justice institutions must investigate the entire chain of responsibility, including those who finance, arm, train, facilitate, and enable the destruction of Sudan. History will not judge this catastrophe by diplomatic rhetoric, but by the lives destroyed and the responsibility of those who made it possible. #Sudan #SudanGenocide #Darfur #StopTheWarInSudan #Ethiopia #UAE #RSF #Janjaweed #HornOfAfrica #AmharaGenocide #TigrayGenocide #EthiopianOrthodoxPersecution #WarCrimes #CrimesAgainstHumanity #GenocidePrevention #HumanRights #InternationalJustice #accountability @UN @UNHumanRights @UN_SPExperts @UNOCHA @UNICEF @Refugees @WFP @WHO @UNDP @AfricanUnion @eu_eeas @StateDept @amnesty @hrw @LemkinInstitute @CrisisGroup @ReutersAfrica @BBCWorld @AP @AFP @AJEnglish @FRANCE24 @dwnews

"Eritrea will neither be drawn into Ethiopia's internal political & security crises nor allow itself to become a convenient distraction from the challenges confronting the Ethiopian l/ship. Those challenges must be addressed within Ethiopia, not externalized onto its neighbours."
Welcomed Mr. Guang Cong, Special Envoy of the @UN Secretary-General for the #HornOfAfrica, to the Permanent Mission of #Eritrea for an exchange of views on developments in the region. Discussed situation in #Sudan, #SouthSudan, and #Somalia, highlighting how external interventions are aggravating conflicts, deepening divisions, and undermining prospects for peace. Emphasized respect for national sovereignty, nationally owned political processes, and constructive international engagement. On #Eritrea–#Ethiopia relations, made it abundantly clear that any prospect of engagement with #Ethiopia's leadership on any level, requires a prior, public, unequivocal, and unconditional renunciation of coercion, threats, and the use of force, alongside unambiguous recognition of Eritrea's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. These are fundamental principles. Neither the @UN nor the @African_Union should normalize threats, entertain territorial claims, or reward coercive rhetoric. Dialogue must not legitimize the PP's conduct or create false equivalence. Also cautioned against the inadvertent instrumentalization of international representatives to advance #Ethiopia's political narratives, manufacture external endorsements, or portray diplomatic engagements as tacit approval of its conduct. The PP's ongoing photo-op diplomacy must not camouflage realities on the ground or obscure the consequences of impunity. Carefully staged diplomatic encounters and high-profile international appearances are not endorsements of government policies, conduct, or regional ambitions, nor should they shield the #Ethiopian leadership from scrutiny and accountability. The international community must look beyond diplomatic optics and confront the deteriorating situation within #Ethiopia, where the PP government continues to employ deadly force against its own population. Civilians have been killed, livelihoods and infrastructure destroyed, and communities subjected to violence and displacement across #Afar, #Amhara, #Benishangul-Gumuz, #Somali, Tigray, and Oromia regions . Civilian protection and accountability demand urgent international attention. Stressed that regional peace cannot be built by externalizing #Ethiopia's internal crises or pressuring Eritrea. Meaningful engagement requires trust, mutual respect, sovereign equality, and good faith, conditions that do not currently exist. The immediate priority must be to address the PP's threats and conduct that have undermined regional peace. #Eritrea will neither be drawn into #Ethiopia's internal political and security crises nor allow itself to become a convenient distraction from the challenges confronting the Ethiopian leadership. Those challenges must be addressed within Ethiopia, not externalized onto its neighbours.

Listen to this clip from President Isaias Afwerki's interview in July 2025 regarding Abiy's mindless military adventure. President Isaias Afwerki states that #Eritrea has never sought war, pursued territorial expansion or initiated a conflict, arguing that every war over the past 80 years has been imposed upon the #Eritrean people. He describes the Ethiopian PP government's repeated military threats, claims of possessing drones, missiles, tanks and artillery, and boasts of carrying out targeted strikes followed by successive waves of infantry attacks. He also refers to the daily transportation of military supplies to #Ethiopia, claims of capturing Assab or attacking through Sudan, and assertions of diplomatic support from other countries. President Isaias characterises these statements and preparations as a reckless, childish and unnecessary military adventure. He questions the intended targets and purpose of the proposed attacks and rejects the claim that Ethiopia's population advantage of 130 million against Eritrea's few million would enable it to overwhelm Eritrea through human-wave attacks. He argues that the #Ethiopian government should stop threatening war and instead address the problems facing its people, rather than diverting public attention from the country's internal challenges through another unnecessary conflict. Finally, President Isaias stresses that although Eritrea considers these threats reckless, it will not neglect its military preparations or allow itself to be psychologically affected by the rhetoric. #Eritrea will not engage in a childish exchange of threats. His message to the #Ethiopian government is simple: stop this madness and abandon the unnecessary military adventure. @US_SrAdvisorAF @antonioguterres @EUSR_Weber @eu_eeas @CrisisGroup @BBCWorld @BBCAfrica @Reuters @ReutersAfrica @trtafrika @cgtnafrica @mfa_russia @TheVillaSomalia @SudanTribune_EN @StateDept @_AfricanUnion @EgyptForeignMin

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐲'𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 ETHIOPIA ― 🫣 Abiy Ahmed’s cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, and heads of government institutions have finally been released from their mandatory military boot camp at the Hurso Training Center and allowed to return to their offices. At today’s closing ceremony, Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos and Minister Muferihat Kamil delivered glowing testimonials about how the military exercises had transformed their leadership skills already. LOL! According to the BBC, other senior officials, including Finance Minister Fitsum Assefa and Health Minister Mekdes Daba, were also sent for military training. Apparently, the boot camp has wrapped up weeks ahead of schedule. Perhaps someone finally remembered that a country cannot be governed by a cabinet of part-time recruits from the barracks.

🚨 @AbiyAhmedAli regime security forces block families from visiting survivors of Jari No. 2 IDP camp drone strikes that killed over 31 Amhara civilians, amid reports of a cover-up Sources on the ground revealed on November 5th, 2026, that Abiy regime security forces have prevented relatives and local residents from visiting and caring for survivors of last week’s deadly drone strikes on the Jari No. 2 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp near Hayk Town in Tehuledere Woreda, South Wollo Zone, Amhara Region. Four drone strikes targeting the camp killed more than 31 displaced Amhara civilians from Wollega, including up to three pregnant women, more than seven children and at least six women. Survivors suffering from injuries are currently receiving treatment at Hayk Hospital, Dessie Hospital and Boru Meda Hospital. However, relatives and residents who attempted to visit the wounded at Hayk Hospital were forcibly turned away by security forces. According to sources, local Prosperity Party officials and security personnel imposed restrictions on hospital visits to prevent further details about the severity of the drone strikes from reaching the public and media, raising allegations of an organized effort to conceal the extent of civilian casualties. Meanwhile, wounded survivors receiving hospital treatment and displaced families remaining at the camp are experiencing severe psychological trauma, ongoing security threats and shortages of medical assistance.
🚨 Amhara IDPs displaced for a second time after deadly @AbiyAhmedAli regime drone strikes on Jari IDP camp killed at least 23 civilians and injured over 40 others Amhara internally displaced persons (IDPs) who survived the October 29th, 2026, drone strikes on the Turk Camp, administered under the Jari IDP Camp near Hayk Town in Tehuledere Woreda, South Wollo Zone, Amhara Region, have been forced to flee their shelters once again. The strikes killed at least 23 civilians and severely injured more than 40 others, according to eyewitness accounts. Survivors have since abandoned the camp and scattered across surrounding streets and areas, fearing additional attacks by government drones or fighter jets. The displaced civilians had originally fled massacres and identity-based attacks targeting Amhara communities in Oromia Region, losing their homes, livelihoods and belongings before seeking refuge in Amhara Region. Many had already endured severe humanitarian hardship before the latest drone strikes targeted the camp where they had sought safety. Now facing displacement for a second time, survivors remain exposed to further violence and worsening humanitarian conditions, with their access to safe shelter and essential assistance uncertain.
