Thought I might share a life story from a few months ago to brighten your day. Back in March, I spotted a raccoon on the side of the interstate that had very clearly been run over. I pulled over thinking I’d have to put it out of its misery. We ended up becoming good friends.

There once was a cat by the name of Tombili (a common Turkish name that is given to chubby pets) who lived in the Kadiköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. She was famous for leaning against steps and people watching. She was also known for her friendly demeanor. When she died in early August of 2016, a petition received 17,000 signatures to commemorate her life.
A local sculptor by the name of Seval Sahin created a sculpture that recreated her reclining pose. A few months later, the statue disappeared, which prompted a public outcry. A Turkish politician was quoted as saying, "They stole the Tombili statue. They are enemies of everything beautiful. All they know is hate, tears, and war." The statue was returned two days later.

24 hours ago it was nearly all over for Mr Big. He was forgotten, alone and on the way out.
He still has some recovering to do but Mr Big now has food, medicines, shelter and love.

When I'm at Chipotle, l always wait until after the employee puts the first scoop of chicken on my burrito to ask for double chicken, so the size of the first scoop isn't compromised by the knowledge I'm getting a second scoop and now the employee has shown their hand in terms of their default scoop size, so they can't skimp with my second scoop.

Some have asked for pics of the Revolutionary War fort we discovered inside an old plantation house in West Virginia. Almost none of the original Rev War frontier log forts survive. Historians believed an old log fort know as Byrnside’s Fort was still there, inside the walls of this large house. But…
We had to buy the property first before being able to take a crowbar to it to see if the logs were inside the walls. I was 90% sure they were there…
