Bob Uecker's Harry Doyle calls from "Major League" became part of baseball movie history.
The famous misses, deadpan reactions and booth one-liners worked because Uecker already knew exactly how a baseball broadcast was supposed to sound. He could parody an announcer without making the character feel fake.
That's why the clips still work even for people who have heard the real Uecker call games for decades.
An amazing time being in that room! Nerd PEEK!!!
Tom Hiddleston mentioned that when he entered Hall H, it was so noisy that he simply raised a finger, and everyone fell silent. He couldn't believe it—I don't think he realized the power that Loki holds over the audience. #LokiDay
Was going to bed and then TBS had to start Air Force One. Damn I love this movie! #GreatCast

Animation for the first season of Thundercats for Rankin/Bass, including the series’ incredible intro seen below, was by the Tokyo-based studio Topcraft. In 1985, Topcraft went bankrupt and its assets and animators became Studio Ghibli, under Miyazaki, Suzuki, and Takahata.

This guy literally built a giant swing because a bear kept trying to use his normal-sized one. The bear’s reaction is absolutely priceless 😭🐻❤️❤️

The funniest part is people thinking Terry Crews being this good at drawing is random. 😭
He had an Art SCHOLARSHIP before a football scholarship, worked as a courtroom sketch artist in Flint, and when NFL teams cut him, he sold portraits to teammates for around $5,000 to help support his family.
Acting is not where the talent started. Drawing was paying bills before Hollywood ever knew his name.

For me, Peter Cullen was Eeyore as a kid, my grandma would have all the VHS tapes of the 80s animated series I would watch all the time. He played a character a lot of people could identify with and I think now of this moment from the show. I’ll cherish his memory forever.
