Bitstamp is doing same thing to US customers. Off loading us to Robinhood. I started out buying my first BTC on Bitstamp.net in 2012/2013. Then juiced into XRP when it was a still a half penny .005. Then loved using it to be a market maker by auto setting buy and sell spreads from .25 up to $5. Then I got booted to Bitstamp.us and eventually Robinhood bought them out and we have to move to Robinhood by end of year. Annoying. Robinhood only allows $1,000 max daily withdrawals of crypto. How can I have millions in crypto and only be able to withdraw $1,000. Crypto is being strangled to death by corporate greed. All the innovator exchanges are being gobbled up. Fees in the micro Pennie’s are now being exchanged for 3%. It’s dissapointing.
Another reminder that nothing in crypto lasts forever.
We’re seeing more exchange shutdowns, with reports that @BitMartExchange and @BitMEX are winding down operations in some capacity.
If you have funds on either platform, it’s worth checking your account and withdrawing if necessary.
The bigger takeaway is that this market has become incredibly unforgiving.
It’s no longer just smaller DeFi projects disappearing.
Even established platforms are feeling the pressure.
Bear markets don’t just reset prices.
They test business models, liquidity, and who can survive when attention fades.
That’s usually when the strongest builders separate themselves from everyone else.
