For all the parents out there dealing with a decision... let me give you another perspective In 2018 my wife and I went in for our 20? week ultra sound at Beth Israel in Boston... the rep was very quiet the whole time, something seemed off. My wife & I were first time parents... didn't have much context. The doctor pulled us into her office and told us our sons nuchal fold was abnormally large... she went on to say there is a significant increased chance of Down Syndrome and even Turner's syndrome... talked about options to terminate the pregnancy. My wife was inconsolable, rightly so ... even thinking about it now brings back a lot of heavy emotions because of how hard of a day it was... hard... I did a lot of research on the topic ... my wife & I prayed non stop about it. All we could do. The doctors wanted to do an amniocentesis which has its own host of risks..run more tests... We came to the conclusion, which was not easy... it didn't matter... no amnio, no more tests.... I felt in my soul the Lord's plan was perfect and if our son was going to have Down Syndrome we would love him and shepherd him through this world the best we could. We get what we get. Anything from the Lord was a BLESSING and I was not going to point my finger at Him Fast forward to today... our son is going to be 8 in the fall. He is perfect. Just hit a homerun the other day... a much better baseball player than I was at his age. My best friend I share this deeply personal story for nothing more than to give just ONE parent hope... the Lord's plan is perfect... stay the course
This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys & thank you for understanding. ❤️

Dans le manifeste "techno-optimiste" de Marc Andreessen, il y a une phrase qui m'a marqué : "Our enemies are not bad people – but rather bad ideas."

Lisa Rinna is the perfect example of how disconnected our elites have become. She didn’t lose her home in the fires. She’s not fighting insurance companies or watching her neighborhood get destroyed. Yet she’s out here telling West LA who we should vote for while pushing the same career politicians who’ve failed us for years. The Founding Fathers never wanted this. They expected citizen legislators, regular people who would serve their time and return to private life, not professional politicians who turn government into a lifelong career. Instead we’ve created a system where politicians get rich, campaign on the very problems they created, then ask for more time to fix them. That’s not what America was supposed to be.

I've never taken America's State of the Union addresses very seriously. I consider myself, if nothing else, an ideologue, and these addresses are, at heart, regardless of the party of the President delivering them, more pomp, flair, circumstances, and pep rally than anything else. Their format is the reason why. These aren't debates. These aren't even opening statements against which a competing perspective has a chance to contemplate and respond. These are platforms that offer the reigning administration (and rightfully so, they won the after all), a chance to deliver their message without rebuttal or challenge. So, from a sheerly intellectual standpoint, you don't gain much as a principled citizen from watching them. That said, there are certainly moments during these transmissions that serve as decent pieces of illustration as to polarity and stance, if only in gestures, body language, or mannerisms. I think tonight's address contained a poster child for one of those moments. It was when Donald Trump stated, "Tonight, I am inviting every legislator to stand to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens and not illegal aliens." Half of the room stayed seated. If this is not an utterly historical example, forever memorialized in time, as to how far off of the reservation our left wing gone in 2026, I don't know what else is.

Liberals call voter ID racist, but ask the average person—they disagree. Truth is, liberals are the real racists for implying Black Americans can't handle showing ID to vote. There is no excuse to NOT pass the Save Act!

Lawyer for detransitioner awarded $2M warns case signals a tipping point: ‘Every doctor’ should take it seriously, writes @RIKKISCHLOTT. “My guess is that a lot of the themes that came up in her case are pretty consistent through a lot of these cases — lack of collaboration, lack of proper training [or] experience,” Varian’s lawyer, Adam Deutsch, told The Post. “Knowing now that a jury will feel comfortable holding doctors accountable for this is something that I think every doctor should take seriously.” “This was not about ideology,” Deutsch told The Post. “This case was about medical malpractice. Every patient… is entitled to get care that is competent and standards-based.” nypost.com/2026/02/03/opinio…

I don't talk about this a ton, but now feels right... I used to be a journalist covering human trafficking on the US Mexico border. I’ve crossed the border illegally covering migrants and cartels countless times. I saw young women in the morgue after they were raped and brutalized in Juarez. I saw a man get stabbed by a coyote in the gut, a terrible way to die. I know the sound a human makes when it happens. I knew a kid Neftali Fuentes who crossed 100+ times helping others not die in the desert across Arizona. I’ve seen cartel wars play out on the streets of Juarez, bodies dangling from over passes. I’ve been held at gun and knife point before. Those who say open borders are humane have no idea what they’re talking about. You live in an air-conditioned suburb that might as well be an ivory tower. Do not tell me what we do now is virtuous; it is cowardice. I hope we do what is right, which is secure the border, stop criminals from profiting off of misery, and help support local governments to be better, like El Salvador. I know borders and the separation of humans feels sad and impossible. But if you don’t understand this, yet you’ve never been to the border, never spoken to border patrol, never seen the many crosses of raped women in the desert, maybe get down off your high horse and try to understand the US can only have sanctuary cities... if we can keep the place a sanctuary.

I joke around sometimes with my husband that in my next life I want to come back as a dad. But night time rolls around, the house settles, and I don’t mean it, not even a little If I had a thousand lives to choose from, I would choose to be a mother in every single one I would choose the cost. I’d sacrifice my body, myself, all of me for the blessing that is being someone’s mom. My body is so much different, I’ve lost half my hair, my skin is stretched, my patience runs thin most days, I look different, I am so different Different because I was able to carry in me the people I love the most in the world, I got to feel their very first kicks. I got to hold two heartbeats inside my own. I got to shelter them in warmth, grow them in silence, and be the first arms to hold them, inside and outside the womb. What a terrible tragedy it would be to ever wish this away or wish it differently One day I’ll be an old lady walking down the store isle looking at another young mom with a cart full of children; and I won’t wish for another life to be someone else, or something else, I’ll wish instead to come back and live my own life all over again…

According to George Orwell, women are almost always on the side of the state. Essentially, this guy breaks down the psychology of wokeness without calling anyone a raging liberal, crazy leftist, or legally insane.
