This week was approved 1 of the biggest, most timely and important proposal in history of @Polkadot. It also reached 1 of the highest participation rate as there were 5M DOT at stake. But not "just" 5M DOT. Community was deciding between keeping status quo of ecosystem which is not great objectively and investment into growth bigger than ever, under our stewardship and leadership. While there were reasonable concerns about putting substantial share of Treasury into our products, same as in case of any resource allocation you have to cut whats not working and double down on whats working. Thats essential for any organisation with resources doesn't matter if non-profit or venture capital fund. We never boasted about our contributions, but now more than ever is important to recognise how @hydration_net earned for Polkadot Treasury tens of millions $$$, saved hundreds of millions $$$ on its market cap when DOT is higher, by better execution (small incremental DollarCostAveraging over market sell of 5-6 figures in short period of time on 1 cex). Our team and community are contributing everyday into making Polkadot technology and ecosystem more safe (PAL & OG Rust Bounty), useable (UX Bounty), integrated (DeFi B.), social (Events B.) and visible (Marketing B.). Not many know how Hydration almost died early 2023, despite promised support, we got nothing and only help came from HDX holders thanks to 22m $ reserves kept in Treasury brought from Ethereum and allocated into DOT, vDOT, native USDT & C (thats why Polkadot still have them and getting traction on this front), iBTC, overall ecosystem liquidity and most importantly into our survival and contributions to Polkadot. You can easily imagine how would ecosystem and even DOT price looked w/o proper hydration. Pretty dry and sad. If you don't agree show me what project and community improved directly Polkadot financials in positive way in such scale last 3 years. On top of it I personally double down on Polkadot by co-founding of @v_labs as necessity to get more quickly essential cex,custody, on/off ramp integrations while I was blessed to have a baby after collapse of FTX, Omnipool going live and being tested by hackers, Zee Prime starting its 3rd fund and many more. Velocity is now 3rd most important organisation in ecosystem right after W3F and Parity. So nothing was given but earned. We could do more and better but that's not possible with so small team and available resources while we are chewing glass for years and punching way above our weight. With this boost and our constantly improving traction and features we are pumped to make wrong all critics and help more than ever. We are grateful for receiving so much support from majority of voters and their acknowledgement of our points and contributions to whole ecosystem.
