Right - we are making sure that grid has a solid base first. The MSFT folks are currently working on GridNG which will solve a whole bunch of correctness and performance issues. Once we've got this in place the plan is to work on subgrid, and proper fragmentation.

CSS Text Level 3 transition to CR just approved.
2/3 of what was “CSS3 Text” went to CR as “CSS Writing Modes” and “CSS Text Decoration”; last third will go to CR on Tuesday as “CSS Text”.
It has been 18 years since its initial “Last Call Working Draft”. Finally hit zero issues
