Three down. Three left.
The people have spoken. We have had enough of the chaos, the hatred, the corruption, and the authoritarian idiots who think the world belongs to them.
Orbán, Bolsonaro and Vučić have all been rejected by voters.
Today, Netanyahu could be next. And Trump looks increasingly likely to earn his own big red cross in the midterms.
That leaves Putin.
The rest of us must make sure Moscow gets its red cross too, by giving Ukraine everything it needs to defeat Russia’s imperial ambitions.
The age of «strongmen» is looking a little less strong. And that is a beautiful thing.
Remember when you could wake up in the morning without wondering which country was being threatened, which ally had been insulted, or which international crisis had been manufactured overnight by a man with an oversized ego?
When politics was often boring, diplomacy happened behind closed doors, and world leaders generally tried to solve problems instead of creating three new ones before breakfast?
It wasn’t a perfect world. Far from it. But there was a certain peace in not having to listen to angry old men demanding the world’s attention every single day.
Imagine getting that peace back. Imagine a world where the morning news is about progress, discoveries and possibilities, rather than the latest threats, lies and tantrums.
We deserve that world again.

Suspension of russian bobsleigh in two-man and four-man events extended 🔥
Today, the extraordinary congress of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) concluded. One of the agenda items was a proposal to lift a number of sanctions on Russian skeleton athletes and bobsledders.
After thorough discussion and our presentation of facts about the involvement of the Russian Bobsleigh Federation and Russian athletes in actively supporting the actions of their government, and in some cases even their affiliation with the Russian army, a fair decision was adopted by a convincing majority of votes. I am pleased to report that the sanctions on Russian bobsleigh and skeleton have been maintained.
In individual events, Russian athletes will be able to compete only in “neutral” status after undergoing verification for affiliation with Russian military structures, active support of the war, and compliance with other criteria.
In all team events, Russian athletes remain fully suspended ❌
Russian sport serves as a tool of Russian propaganda and therefore must remain excluded from international sport.
Ban Russia.

Huge fail @MELANIATRUMP
🚨🚨🚨 PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS🚨🚨🚨
Whilst Melania claims she is saving the people in Oleshky who have been starving to death under Russia occupation and bombing, Russian forces for refusing to let Oleshky residents cross the short Dnipro River distance to Ukrainian-held areas during evacuations, directing them instead deeper into occupied Crimea or Russia where they risk further coercive processing.
Melania has not secured ANY guarantees that Ukrainian residents will be transported to Ukrainian held territory where they will be safe following an evacuation form Oleshky.
Important to understand.
A little information for those of you who aren't familiar with exactly what they are or why PACS exist.
Just about anyone can start a Super PAC, including an ordinary private citizen like you.
You don't have to be wealthy, hold political office, or have a candidate's permission.
James Talarico has no control over whether an independent Super PAC spends money supporting his campaign. He cannot legally coordinate that spending with the Super PAC.
However, he does have control over whether his campaign accepts contributions from a corporate PAC. His campaign can refuse those donations or return them.
So the distinction is:
Super PAC: Can spend millions supporting Talarico without his permission. He cannot prevent independent spending on his behalf.
Corporate PAC: Can offer a legal contribution to his campaign, but Talarico's campaign can reject it.
One additional distinction: A corporate PAC generally raises money from eligible individuals associated with a corporation, rather than donating directly from the corporation's treasury.
Bottom line: Talarico can truthfully say he refuses corporate PAC contributions while independent Super PACs spend millions helping him get elected. Those two things are not contradictory.
Dear @WhiteHouse: Artificial Intelligence is what normal folks call AI. trump’s decision to let AI run wild was a horrible decision. Trying to rename AI doesn’t change that.
Also, POTUS can’t compel speech from Americans. So take your anti-First Amendment crap and shove it.
Donald Trump says "artificial intelligence" is a very bad and inaccurate name" and wants to replace it with "super intelligence."
"In short order, we will be officially BANNING the term, ‘AI/Artificial Intelligence,’ in all relevant documents, and everything else, due to its inaccuracy. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

Please don't be confused and think this means our elections are in jeopardy. They are not. Voting machines don't connect to the internet. Don't become a victim of disinformation.

"If there are no personal consequences for deciding to wage war against a sovereign state, then all international rules cease to function, the global security order is destroyed, and any other country could become a victim.
Accountability for aggression is not only a signal about the past – it is a signal about the future: about how the world responds to unlawful uses of force and what consequences await those who violate international norms"
