In April 2005, Linus Torvalds lost free access to BitKeeper, the version control system used to develop Linux.
Instead of switching to CVS or Subversion, he decided to build his own.
On April 7, he made Git's first commit.
Just nine days later, Git was already being used to manage the Linux kernel.
What began as an emergency replacement became the version control system millions of developers use today.

GOG wants to bring physical PC games back. The idea is to let players buy boxed versions of games directly from their GOG library and have them delivered to their homes.
“We need to think about logistics. We need to think about storage,”
The company would also need approval from publishers to produce and sell physical copies.
GOG has been discussing the idea for years, but there are still plenty of challenges to overcome.

💥 离谱！联想卖的指纹加密 U 盘，拆开后竟然只是一张普通 SD 卡！
宣传号称 AES-256 硬件加密，结果安全研究人员拆开 ThinkPlus FU100 后发现：
🔹 内部存储竟然是一张普通 SD 卡！
🔹 文件直接明文存储，根本没有经过加密！
🔹 指纹识别只负责控制 USB 连接，拆开外壳就能绕过验证，直接读取数据！
更离谱的还在后面！
研究人员早在 2025 年 8 月就向联想报告了问题，联想最初给出的临时方案，竟然是在 SD 卡表面涂一层环氧树脂，增加拆解难度！😂
直到 2026 年 1 月，联想才正式发布安全公告，漏洞编号 CVE-2025-13453。
受影响的包括 FU100、FU200、TU800、TSD303 第一代产品，目前联想已提供免费升级或更换方案。
这次算是给所有人上了一课：指纹识别不等于数据加密，能锁住 USB 接口，不代表能保护里面的数据！
如果你的重要文件就存在这种 U 盘里，被人拆开就能直接读取，你还敢相信它的安全性吗？

Nvidia RTX 20, 30 and 40-series GPUs can now unlock their full AI performance thanks to a new UEFI-level tool.
The open-source project, called nv-uefi-unlocker, works before Nvidia’s drivers load and removes a hardware-level performance limit affecting certain Tensor Core operations.
The reported gains are impressive:
>RTX 4090: up to 2x peak AI compute performance.
>RTX 3090 Ti: up to 80% higher matrix performance.
>RTX 4060 Laptop: around 65% improvement in reported tests.
It supports Windows and Linux and doesn’t require a modified Nvidia driver or a permanent VBIOS flash.
Sadly these are AI compute improvements, not gaming FPS gains
