This is wild.
The story keeps getting crazier. To recap everything that has been reported so far: - The US intelligence community discovered that Jensen Huang, the CEO of the largest company in the world, was sleeping with Alice Huang, a Chinese spy and an executive at Megaspeed. (FT) - Multiple independent investigations have concluded that Megaspeed is likely a Chinese cutout, which helps Chinese companies access AI chips or circumvent export controls. (NYT and Bloomberg) - The US intelligence community also concluded that Alice Huang’s goal was to convince Jensen to lobby the U.S. government to loosen export controls on advanced AI chips. (NYT) - The intelligence community relayed this information to “a small group of top US government officials” earlier this year. (FT) - Over the last year, Jensen Huang has repeatedly lobbied the U.S. government to loosen export controls on advanced chips. @BISgov has done so, not only by permitting the export of H200 chips to China, but also not enforcing export controls that would have required a license for exports of the most advanced Blackwell chips to Megaspeed and Southeast Asia. - Although @CommerceGov leadership was presumably briefed on this information by the U.S. intelligence community, @BISgov has taken no actions to tighten controls on Megaspeed or Southeast Asia. - Megaspeed remains a preferred cloud partner of Nvidia, and continues to receive Nvidia Blackwell chips despite employing a Chinese spy who reportedly is romantically engaged with the CEO of Nvidia. - Tens of billions of dollars worth of AI chips have been exported to Southeast Asia this year alone, and Malaysia and Singapore are now two of the four largest importers of AI chips in the world. What is going on here??? We need answers. The question of who gets the most advanced AI chips in the world is literally the defining strategic question of our time. And not only does it seem like the MSS may be directly influencing the debate on export controls in the United States, but also @CommerceGov is refusing to listen to the warnings of the IC on this issue. What is a POSSIBLE good explanation for why Megaspeed is still receiving chips? Why is there not a license requirement for AI chip shipments to all of Southeast Asia? This is beyond strange at this point. The fallout from this story will be massive. Obviously, the motivations underpinning Nvidia’s policy views opposing export controls must now all be questioned. But also, how did @BISgov sit on this information and has still taken no actions? We need answers.

Annual reminder: it’s even larger and scarier up close.
Our blue boy is looking better than ever. 💙✨💙✨ Mustang recently received some TLC from art conservators, including a thorough cleaning, a fresh coat of UV protectant, a fiberglass inspection (yep, he’s made of fiberglass) and the repair of any cracks and chips.

I met a woman in Rifle who was in tears talking about how much money she spends on gas every week and how hard it is to support her family. She works her ass off, 60 hours a week, but just can’t get ahead. I think Broncos players will be ok.

Budget must be central talking point. DOD and ICE budgets are WAY out of control. Unpopular, I know, but IRS needs money to do its job.
Let's do it. Let's dare him to veto:
— Ending the Iran war — Canceling $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts — Restoring ACA Tax Credits — Raising the federal minimum wage — Terminating tariffs and issuing refunds to consumers — Forcing data centers to pay for their own energy and water — Banning presidential and congressional stock trading

Singleton on new taxes: “So do I think tax dollars go to the right place? One hundred percent. Do I think people complain about the money is used? One hundred percent.” Perfect take.

Democrats, Who leads the Democratic party is as important as the historic wins we achieved on Tuesday. For once - FOR ONCE - prioritize this and push for NEW instead of OLD. Different instead of the same. Think of tomorrow instead of TODAY. Democrats need NEW LEADERSHIP.

Fully approved by the Colorado Republicans of Weld County, folks.
Colorado ain’t got no water for Denver Water customers to water their lawns or for data centers but there’s enough water for another new golf course?

This s what a liar looks like, folks.
Don’t forget: Democrats want thousands of illegal aliens flooding our communities while YOU foot the bill for their healthcare, food, housing, and more. American taxpayers should always come FIRST.

I seem to remember a program where State and ATF gave Mexican Cartels guns? Yeah, Fast and Furious got some stuff done at a horrendous human cost. Not exactly the BEST source for ethical guidance.
There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation. We want to remain a sovereign nation, and so should you.

Scumbag politician wants to lie to you and make you think that inflation was 9.3% two years ago when anyone with a Google or AI account can tell you inflation was falling from 3.4% down to 2.9% two years ago
No matter what Democrats “say,” NEVER FORGET what they actually DID. This is the real record from just two short years ago: ❌ Inflation record high — hit 9.1% under Democrats. ✅ Today it’s 3.4% under Republicans. ❌ About 20 MILLION illegal aliens entered our country under Democrats. ✅ For a full fiscal year, the number is zero, and the border is secure thanks to Republicans. ❌ Democrats’ defund the police rhetoric and soft on crime policies let criminals off the hook and caused MASSIVE crime spikes in American communities. ✅ Today, the murder rate is at a 120-year low thanks to Republicans. Republicans have made incredible progress fixing the 4 years of DISASTER Joe Biden and Kamala Harris left behind. We know the job isn't done, and we'll keep fighting to continue improving the lives of all Americans.

Not going to lie. Netanyahu and his government have made me far more sympathetic to the inhabitants of the Middle East forced off their lands because the world powers wanted to compensate victims of their war. Palestinians knew The Nakba was not just 1948, but the beginning.
Four armed hijackers executed a 69-year-old disabled American in a wheelchair and threw him overboard into the Mediterranean—only for US Navy fighter jets to ambush their getaway airliner in pitch-black airspace, forcing it down onto a NATO runway for an armed standoff between American commandos and Italian carabinieri. The reason might surprise you. On October 7, 1985, the Italian luxury cruise liner MS Achille Lauro was cruising off the coast of Alexandria, Egypt, carrying hundreds of international holidaymakers. While the majority of passengers had disembarked for a shore excursion to Cairo, four heavily armed militants from the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF), led by 23-year-old Youssef Majed al-Molqi, seized the vessel. Their original plan had been to stay undercover until the ship docked in Ashdod, Israel, to launch a suicide raid on military installations. But when a cabin steward caught them cleaning assault rifles in their state room, they panicked, commandeered the bridge, and held over 400 remaining passengers and crew hostage. They redirected the cruise liner toward Tartus, Syria, demanding the immediate release of 50 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. When the Syrian government refused to allow the ship to enter port, the hijackers decided to execute a hostage to prove their resolve: They singled out Leon Klinghoffer, a 69-year-old Jewish-American retired appliance manufacturer from New York who had suffered two severe strokes and was confined to a wheelchair. Forced onto the open deck, Klinghoffer was shot once in the forehead and once in the chest. The hijackers then forced two ship crew members at gunpoint to dump Klinghoffer's body and his wheelchair into the open sea. Fearing international retaliation, PLF leader Muhammad Zaidan (known as Abu Abbas) established radio contact with the ship, ordering the hijackers to steer back toward Port Said, Egypt. In Cairo, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arranged a controversial diplomatic compromise: In exchange for releasing the cruise ship and the remaining hostages unharmed, the hijackers were granted safe passage out of Egypt aboard a commercial EgyptAir Boeing 737 bound for Tunis, alongside Abu Abbas. President Mubarak publicly claimed the hijackers had already left the country, but US intelligence knew the plane had not yet taken off from Al Maza military airbase. When President Ronald Reagan learned of Klinghoffer's murder, he issued an immediate directive: intercept the airliner. On the night of October 10, four F-14 Tomcat fighter jets from the USS Saratoga (Carrier Air Wing 17), supported by an E-2C Hawkeye radar plane, roared off the catapults into the dark Mediterranean sky: Without using radio transmissions or radar illumination, the F-14s crept up on the EgyptAir flight in complete blackout mode at 34,000 feet south of Crete. Switching on running lights and drawing within inches of the airliner’s wingtips, the American fighter pilots rocked their wings and radioed the Egyptian pilot directly on emergency frequencies: "Divert your heading to Sigonella, or face interception." Flanked on both wings by armed Tomcats, the airliner had no choice but to follow the escorts down to Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily. The crisis, however, didn't end on the tarmac. It triggered a near-shooting standoff between two NATO allies: As soon as the airliner touched down at midnight, US Navy SEAL Team Six operators surrounded the plane in tactical gear. Within minutes, fifty Italian Carabinieri and military police surrounded the Navy SEALs with submachine guns, drawing down on the Americans. Italian Prime Minister Bettino Craxi insisted that because the aircraft had landed on sovereign Italian soil and the hijacking occurred on an Italian-flagged ship, Italy retained absolute legal jurisdiction. JD Vance apparently just figured out the Electoral College, too.
JD Vance on ranked choice voting: "I don't understand it. It seems to me that you have an election, the person who wins the most votes should win. That seems to be not what happens with ranked choice voting. The fact that it's so confusing to a person who pays pretty close attention to politics I think suggests we should do our elections in, like, the normal way."

Ever notice that in Dune humans fly spaceships between planets but don't use a single computer? That's not a plot hole. It's completely on purpose. The movies barely explain why, but once you know, almost everything else in Dune starts to make sense. About 10,000 years before Paul Atreides, humans did exactly what we're doing right now. They built thinking machines to make life easier. They let the machines do their work and make their decisions, hoping it would set them free. Instead, the people who controlled those machines gained the power to enslave everyone else. Humanity eventually fought back in a holy war called the Butlerian Jihad, and won. The thinking machines were destroyed. To make sure it would never happen again, they made one rule sacred: "Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind." But getting rid of computers created a problem: who would do their work? The answer was humans. Mentats are trained from childhood to think like computers. Navigators use the spice to glimpse the future and steer ships safely through space. The Bene Gesserit spend generations pushing the human mind and body to their limits. Every superpower in Dune exists for one reason: there are no computers. That's my favorite thing about Dune. It's also the most terrifying. Dune isn't a future without AI. It's the future after AI. Frank Herbert wrote that in 1965.
