Super Castlevania IV and Alien 3 are my two personal favorite horror games for SNES. Unfortunately it was slim pickings for horror games on SNES. You had a lot more options on Sega Genesis and even the NES.

This is clearly bait, but whatever. Peeping Tom and Psycho both came out in 1960. Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out the same year as Black Christmas. There are also a ton of movies in the ‘40s and ‘50s that were precursors to slasher films. Actually watch movies, then post.
