what @thesamparr said about bending reality to his will (ep 406) broke something in me so I had to break it down for myself.
loom is actual garbage now holy shit. just downloaded @cap and it's incredible.
My prediction is that the top design studios are about to get acquired by the frontier labs.
Twitter was the last big tech company to do this when it acquired Ueno.
There’s no better time to start an agency. As talent gets harder to find and nurture, agencies are the best places to find talent concentration.
I'm so tired of the AI writing structure:
Not because x...
Not because y...
But because z...
I see and hear it in like half the videos on IG and 90% of the LinkedIn posts.
Drives me crazy

CFOs realizing that their AI token budget is going to be higher than the salaries of the people they laid off
i had the pleasure of seeing @BrentBeshore give a talk last night, and while his insights were awesome, the thing that stuck out to me the most was how well packaged and effortless his perspective was.
This is also true of people like @ShaanVP and @
and I realized the thread between all of them is they either have writing or a speaking practice (or both)
when they talk about something publically, it's usually not for the first time
that idea or perspective was refined in an annual letter draft or a podcast episode.
how do you get to clear thinking?
it's in the drafts.
Posted up in a cafe in lookout mountain in TN before an event with @BrentBeshore
Lots of energy here and people vibe coding even in the mountains of Tennessee
wrote a little piece on why brand building is so hard. after building and advising brands for a decade, I think it comes down to this.
shoutout to @YellowTuxJesse for the leadership here
Started outreach post-TBPN acq announcement. To my fellow creators who only do short form, I think it might be time to go long form too.
I get it from the brand perspective. They want content that feels more evergreen and deeper engagement with it.
I've studied hundreds of brands and the one thing I find again and again is that they all do things that "don't make sense"
whether it's spending more time and energy on something like company merch
seeking out and activating with some obscure person or company
It doesn't make sense to outsiders and bc of that it stands out.
following playbooks are antithetical to brandbuilding bc of this
What I loved about working at @NotionHQ was our extremely high bar for company merch. 🤍
Practical, not giving people just another item, giving them something they’d use. We put a lot of care into the selection and overall usage (Including wearing the samples to make sure.)
Love finding brands just doing things. @daymakerguy was my top pick this week
Creative ideas are having a moment, creative SCALE is an edge that there's maybe 200 people that understand right now, and all of us hate that we have to sleep.
the ability to own the "strategy" and holding the line of strategy in scale is everything.
the line is fully blurred

I don’t think you can get this level of insight anywhere on this giant internet
Somehow it's already been 11 months at the triangle factory. This is a reflection on my role(s) and why care, not process, is the real operating system companies need.
