Truly revolting. The grandparents are made to look like scary predators for wanting to hug their granddaughter.
(Oh, and imagine the reax if it was black or brown grandparents & a light-skinned grandchild not wanting to be hugged)

I'm sitting in a Kyiv hotel room listening to explosions that are rattling the windows.
Meanwhile, the White House is trying to cyber-bully me because I criticized Steve Witkoff for calling Putin a “humanitarian.”
What a weird night. Ah, to be an American journalist in Ukraine.

What's even more revolting is that they have the audacity to preach about consent while deliberately DENYING consent to every Irish woman on this island!
Replying to @john_mcguirk
They talk about "consent" yet deny women the same consent when it comes to men in our bathrooms, sports, hospital wards and every other single sex space you can think of.
The Irish State is a sick joke!

Grandkids do go thru a period where they don't like being hugged bc all these doting relatives over-hug them. But this is where they learn the difference between "the dutiful hug so as not to hurt babushka's feelings" and "going with that feeling to avoid creepy strangers".

🇸🇩 At least 12 children have been killed in two recent attacks, according to UNICEF. On Saturday, at least nine children between the ages of 5 and ten were killed in a strike on a camp for displaced families in West Kordofan. On Monday a drone struck a residential area in Khartoum, killing three children between the ages of 2 and 6, along with their father.
Across Sudan, children continue to face deadly violence after more than three years of conflict.
UNICEF calls on all parties to the conflict to comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law and protect civilians and civilian infrastructure. Children must be protected wherever they are, at all times.

Mazel Tov to the University of Pittsburgh on finding a new way to erase their Jews- their new report on antisemitism surveyed and spoke to ZERO Jews.
Not one.
"Our charge from the chancellor and provost was not to provide data as part of our report" said Katherine Blee, a sociologist and the faculty chair of the Pitt working group. Instead, she said, the recommendations came out of discussions between the group members, whom she characterized as "a very diverse group with a very diverse set of opinions, which is representative of the university."
So non-Jews telling Jews about antisemitism.

How bad is the ideological rot at the APA? As @Hartz_PhD and I reported in the WSJ, this is an actual panel that took place at the APA's Division 39 spring conference this year.
"This panel explores drag not only as performance but as queer theory, translation, clinical practice, and institutional critique."
The panel description concluded with a reminder for attendees to "bring your tips: there shall be drag performance."
Psychologists were also able to receive 1.75 Continuing Education credits for attending.
Why does our government grant accreditation to this activist organization?

🚨 NEW: For the @WSJ, @Hartz_PhD and I expose the ideological takeover of the American Psychological Association.
The APA is facing the possible loss of its federal accreditation authority following allegations of widespread antisemitism.
But while the APA's antisemitism problem is serious, it's only a symptom of a much deeper ideological rot.
The organization has become so captured by radical left-wing political activism that its commitment to scientific objectivity competence is now in serious doubt.
We examined the program for this year's major APA Division 39 conference, which drew nearly 800 attendees and held 90 panels over four days.
By our count, roughly 70 of the 90 panels were overtly political, and always left-wing. Topics included abolishing the family, queer anarchist psychoanalysis, dismantling gender assessment guidelines, and white supremacy. One session even concluded with a drag show.
There was at least some hope that the threat of losing federal accreditation might prompt some institutional soul-searching. It didn't.
Instead, APA members just elected Candice Hargons as their next president. Her campaign identifies "systemic intersectional oppression" as the profession's "common enemy" and calls for rejecting the traditional scientific notions of objectivity.
Psychologists wield enormous influence over vulnerable patients, and the people seeking treatment deserve the peace of mind knowing that the care they're receiving care is evidence based and not tainted radical politics.
We believe most would agree that federal accreditation should actually mean something. If the APA cannot distinguish its scientific mission from its political activism, the Education Department should reconsider whether it deserves the government's endorsement as an authority over psychological training.
