Always curious. Nearly done writing a short, practical book on patience for busy parents, to scratch my own itch & exploring how to be a better dad @Being_Dads.

Are your kids 20ish? Mine are 15 & 12 and we're definitely in a new stage of family life. What advice would you give yourself in my situation?
You three do great work on inequality, might be worth talking:
@garyseconomics on the economics - its impact and what's coming
@danariely on what it's doing societally, culturally and so politically
@lokiscottishrap on the human impact that the middle classes will soon feel
Rishi understood how inflation was measured and gamed it when making his pledge....
Would just like to congratulate @RishiSunak personally for single handedly getting inflation to below 10%, just like he pledged 4 months ago. Man of his word.

Just a little reminder that Government have spent more money on the failed Rwanda scheme than it did on domestic abuse refuges for women and children.

I was, sadly, laid off today. Putting the feelers out for open positions, both full-time and freelance. I have 12+ years of experience covering culture, food and drink, travel and lifestyle as a writer, editor and project manager. Email is [email protected], fire away!
Seeing A LOT of posts stoking the driver Vs cyclist flames.
I've been cycling a London commute 3-5 X a wk for 17 yrs. Only had a few agro incidences.
Seen a lot of them though, and it always kicks off when one person starts shouting or swearing. So maybe don't?
As a non-Dutch speaker, I was surprised to learn that I get into the work zone much faster if there's Dutch rap music on.
👇super important. And speaks to the deeper probleme of education that hasn't evolved with the times, media capture and zero regulation on social media.

Just a little personal vent. @UKMercer - based on my experience, I'd say don't touch them with a barge pole if you can possibly avoid them. A year on, I am still trying to get my own money from them
Great thing to be doing, but bloody hell... Another example of human ingenuity in the face if human stubbornness.

Today James Baldwin would have turned 99 ❤️
His answer to the question, “Why must you always concentrate on color?” is the best answer I’ve ever heard. Must watch.

Looks like the Express has another poll in dire need of help. Twitter, do what you're best at!
(I've linked straight to the 3rd party-hosted poll itself so you don't get bothered by all the Express website ads. Ignore the request for an email address.)

I'm tired of 'leaders' who choose to stoke culture wars over creating a prosperous country people are proud of. In no particular order, they are:
Anti health and humanity, and pro-hunger, poverty and cruelty.
Anti-clean air, rivers and streams, pro-pollution.
Anti-functioning public services, pro-profiteering and crumbling civilisation.

Trees make towns look rich, and towns that look rich become rich.
Ah, but it's this government though isn't it, so you can safely say the government will miss out on earning £57bn for the UK.
✍️ New report from @CBItweets today reveals how gov’t could earn £57bn for the UK economy from the green transition by 2030 through the creation of a UK “IRA”, carbon-reducing tax incentives & a compulsory “net-zero test” for new gov’t policy (more👇)
