I think…there’s a part of IQ not discussed enough. The ability to see and resolve problems. In basketball this relates to evolving your game to the personnel and/or the needs of the team. There are physically great players that lack this level of IQ. Giannis is 1 of them.

Jason Kidd on Doc Rivers comments about Giannis: “So understanding Doc saying that his IQ, I disagree with that. I think Giannis understands how to play the game. His forcefulness getting downhill is what it's all about. And so when he causes a problem, he's one of the top five players in the league" (@ohnohedidnt24)

Arnold on why muscles grow: hold the contraction until the muscle has to respond. “When it responds, it grows. Now if you just do the motion, nothing happens.” Stop going through the motions 🔥

And even if we cal it a handout, children should receive handouts bc theyre at the mercy of adults. They are dependents so they should receive free benefits including all if not most of their essential needs.

Doc Rivers CALLS OUT Giannis for being hard to coach 😳 “He’s not easy. He plays at this crazy downhill pace. He’s really a difficult guy. He has this great passing ability, but he doesn’t have super IQ at the same time. He really has 1 way. Every play he wants to force it. I wished he learned how to execute better. — The thing he needs to still learn is the value of execution. How important it is when you’re in practice and shoot around to lock in on execution. Now he has a coach who’s as good as there is in execution.”

You know? I think we just have narrow definitions of basketball talent. Height and max vertical = god given ability. Depth perception, spatial awareness, touch, coordination, hip flexibility, wiggle = skills you can simply develop. Wiggins is mediocre in the former group.
Austin (@ChefTrillie) profile pictureAustin
@ChefTrillieNov 6
Wiggins might be the most talented player of all time because he was able to survive in the league for 10+ years strictly off talent. Never added anything to his game. Zero hard work. God gave him a 7 FT wingspan w/a 44 inch vertical and he was able to get $250M out of it. Salute

These stars need to realize going into free agency is way easier than forcing the team you’re going to to give up everything they got. That’s why Bron and KD did it so successfully, they didn’t go to depleted teams
