For elders and churches who want women in quasi-officer, almost-ordained, or ordained roles, the PCA is not the place to be—there is no future for those aspirations. The PCA increasingly values its polity and the ordinary means of grace administered via the ordained offices.

Why can't you find a single verse in Scripture that teaches the Magisterium is an infallible rule of faith?
Why can’t we find a single verse in Scripture that teaches Scripture is the only infallible rule of faith?

The book of Hebrews is partially to blame for making me a paedobaptist. It draws lines of continuity betw. the old and new covenant communities with regard to having and laying hold of the objective promises of God that come to us in word and sign.
The sacraments are promises that “we can sink our teeth into.” @AdrielTweets on Hebrews 6.

Oh wow. This is shocking. The world has lost another bold voice for Christ. May He raise up another hundred Voddie Bauchams.
We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. – Psalm 116:15 founders.org/articles/the-de…

Utterly heartbreaking. I have enjoyed Kris's teaching on YouTube and here on this site. I have met him and commended him to others publicly and so it grieves me beyond words to see this. It goes without saying that my recommendation of him is retracted. His ministry should have stopped when this sin was first discovered. We should pray for his repentance, the state of his soul, and for his wife and family. Men, if you betray your wife, you have betrayed Christ. Love your wife as Christ loves the church.

I remember the days where you came to Twitter and were encouraged, laughed and enjoyed debates on baptism. Man, how times have changed...

Profound: "When the Lord Jesus Christ offered up Himself a sacrifice unto God the Father, and had our sins laid upon Him, He did give more perfect satisfaction unto Divine justice for our sins than if you, and I, and all of us had been damned in hell unto all eternity. For a creditor is more satisfied if his debt be paid him all down at once, than if it be paid by the week." —William Bridge, A Puritan Golden Treasury, compiled by I.D.E. Thomas, p. 29
