Reed locked in watching the movie in a purely analytical way, but immediately cracking a smile when he sees Sue is having a great time Even in a silly promo, he just gets it man

The fact Gyasto was forced to let go his beliefs is a tragedy and a bad thing. It is very clearly set up a suicide as well which makes it even depressing as well.

One of the (many) things that pains me about this, aside from how many people refuse to sit down and read the original story, is how I see people go on about the video game and AM's hate monologue, but completely skip over this gem from the radio drama
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream has to be one of the most larped pieces of media of all time. People always talk about it as if it's this huge sprawling universe with loads of lore. It's a short story that you can read in ten minutes.

Replying to @st_noah_of_arc
I don’t really think that’s true but there is a game with a lot of backstory that was approved by Ellison

Was also lucky enough to DP a bunch of projects that DIDN'T get canceled, and you can watch them now! youtube.com/@reelthecore

AND film composers. New filmmakers ruining their film in post is a trope. The correct music can sometimes save it. Very few new directors consider score essential. 100% of big name directors do. You should lock your composer at the pre-pro stage. Not post. That’s coming in super LATE and trying to catch up.
A lot of new filmmakers know that finding a truly talented DP can elevate their film to another level. But here's something that doesn't get talked about enough: finding a genuinely gifted editor can be just as transformational. Maybe more so.

Tuve que buscarlo porque no lo creía, pero resulta que Patrick Stewart fue el CREADOR de una técnica teatral con la que buscaba expandir las oportunidades para actores de minorías. Un pionero. Un visionario.
It’s so funny that Patrick Stewart loved Othello and wanted to play him so bad that instead of doing blackface he just produced a race reversed version of the play where he played white Othello

Got Marvel Twitter talking about "Avengers: Doomsday is going to be even more emotional now". Got Film Twitter assuming that Patrick diagnosed before filming started and calling for Marvel's head....

“the pacing is good” that’s not even remotely true
The Prequels are good films because they tell a cohesive story; that of Anakin’s fall. The pacing the good, the score is fantastic, the visuals are good, and the acting is Shakespearean. The plot, as well, has more substance than the OT. Most hate against it is preferential.

Dumb rural Whites believe social services are racially segregated and that there's a "bad" version all the lazy Blacks and immigrants are on. "Food stamps" = SNAP "Obamacare" = ACA "Section 8" = Housing Assistance
People over on TikTok who voted Republican are freaking out because they thought they were on SNAP, not food stamps, and their shit is getting cut.

And I really don't care about Dune opinions from people with AI profile pictures lol
Esta tercera película NO ES DUNE, es un fanfic pacheco de Villeneuve, pero no tiene NADA que ver con la obra original. Seguramente será visualmente impactante, pero como adaptación es una porquería.

There was another trilogy that came out around the same time as the prequels and yet no prequel fan will ever bring them up because they get disproven and dogwalked almost instantly
the reason millenial nerds feel a compulsion to shit on the star wars prequels, despite the obvious cinematic brilliance, is they are played entirely earnest. there is no jim from the office winking at the camera, which makes them excruciating to the irony poisoned millenial mind

Why is there now a widely accepted campaign to pretend the prequels weren't hated when they came out? Even if you love them, what is there to be gained from that? You don't see fans of John Carpenter's The Thing pretending that movie was beloved when it first came out

All prequel praise seems to boil down to, "Yes the acting is bad and the directing is bad and the dialogue is bad and the story isn't well-told, but the IDEAS are good."

she was so real for sharing this because monoracial black women keep getting gaslit when they point out how the casting process works differently for them and that shit is irritating as fuck same happens with models too
you hear stories like this from black actresses and a lot of #things start making sense
