@UoPeople has grown nearly 60% in one year, reaching over 271,000 students!
Our growth sends a powerful message: People still value higher education. They're questioning whether it should come with an enormous financial burden.
Education should open doors, not create debt.

Today we're making a commitment.
Cencori (@cencori) will build energy-efficient inference infrastructure for Africa, from the platform AI agents run on all the way down to the silicon.
Most of Africa's AI runs on computers thousands of miles away. It's expensive and slow, and the data leaves the continent. We think that has to change.
So we're building it here. Models served from African soil. Infrastructure designed to do more with less power. And over time, our own inference chips: ENX.
This is a long road, and we're starting now.

I founded @UoPeople because I believed no one should be denied higher education because of where they were born or what they could afford.
I still believe that today.
Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. And I'm determined to change that, one student at a time.

☕ In this week's Coffee with Shai, I also share why education must go beyond earning a degree.
