Devin Fusion with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) and a GPT-6 Luna (high) sidekick scores 68 on the Coding Agent Index, 2 points above Claude Code with Opus 5.5 (max) at 31% lower cost per task
@cognition's Devin Fusion runs a frontier lead model alongside a lower-cost sidekick model. The two work in parallel with their own context and tools, with the lead keeping planning, delegation and final review. We benchmarked Devin Fusion CLI with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) + GPT-6 Luna (high).
It scores 68.1 on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, closely matched at the top with Claude Code with Claude Sonnet 5.5 (max) at 68.4 and Muse Code with Muse Wonder Full (max) at 68.0. Against Claude Code with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) at 66.0, it costs $9.01 vs. $13.04 per task and averages 55 vs. 65 minutes per task.
Across the three benchmarks, the Fusion configuration scores higher on DeepSWE v1.1 (72.6% vs. 68.4%) and SWE-Atlas-QnA (69.6% vs. 66.4%) and slightly lower on Terminal-Bench 4.0 (62.1% vs. 63.1%). Its results reflect both models working together, including their combined API cost. Costs are pay-per-token API costs, not subscription prices.

Me and Devin are using @DevinAI to train and deploy custom models on @modal, and it’s easier than you’d think
This is a good basic template to get you started

The number of Alliance startups using @cognition has now surpassed the incumbents, which says a lot about what they’re building.
Between the hands on support they provide founders and the generous perks they’ve contributed to our startup program, the team is genuinely going the extra mile to help our founders succeed.
Huge shoutout to the entire team.

This is directionally consistent with our internal data @cognition. Many tasks within software engineering are now "intelligence saturated." Once any model can do the task well, cost and speed are all that matter.
OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading AI labs face a growing challenge: Better models aren't necessarily attracting more usage. A 10-point intelligence advantage now earns just 20% more developer traffic, down from nearly 69% in late 2025.

Huge congrats to @cognition for taking the #1 spot on #SREGym! 🎉
It’s been incredible to have a front-row seat to the progress in AI SRE. Shoutout to @anhangz, @yunpark93, and @jake_rachleff for an amazing release pushing the frontier of autonomous incident response.
One step closer to a world where humans don't have to be on call. 🚀
SREGym 1.1 is out now, with 2.0 on the way to push the frontier even further.

Most LLMs need to load an essay of text just to conclude “yes” or “no.”
If a step only needs to route a ticket, tag an intent, or flag a policy violation, sending it through a large generative LLM to produce JSON is overhead.
That’s why the new decision models are worth a look.

so many design debates existed because building used to be expensive. at @cognition instead of debating an idea, we build competing ideas in parallel and debate working software
to take this a step further, you can just build directions up front and skip some of the original design discussion, bring results as the first point of discussion
Devin cloud agents build multiple directions in parallel, send screenshots / previews / videos to review in Slack along with PRs. when we agree on an implementation, it's ready to merge. velocity goes way up!
