Protesters stormed a building in the town of Sofiivska Borschahivka on the western outskirts of Kyiv, where at least 14 people - primarily forcibly mobilised men - were reportedly being held hostage by personnel from the 1st Corps of the National Guard "Azov". Among those in the building was a child who was allegedly beaten with a shovel.
A bus arrived at the scene to transport around 12 of the individuals being held, resulting in the protesters attempting to overturn the vehicle. Rapid Operational Response Unit (KORD) personnel dispersed the protests, with reports of gunfire and explosions being heard amid the clashes.
President Office Head Kyrylo Budanov arrived at the scene, stating that he was trying to "figure out what the hell is going on." The event is under investigation by the National Guard.

The sheer state of France's political system: the government's budget for 2027 got exactly 0 votes in parliament, not a single one, which has got to be some kind of record. Not even their own MPs voted for it!
This is because parliament spent weeks amending the budget into something so incoherently horrendous that in the end no-one wants it. Perfect illustration of the complete political paralysis in the country.
