Our @Airbnb host in Sardinia....
Me: "What do we need to handle before leaving.?"
Airbnb Host: "Absolutely Nothing. You paid to be here. We'll take care of it. Please enjoy your last evening here"
We also forgot a bag at the house on the way to the airport. By the time we realized it, we had already turned our car in at the airport. It was 25 minutes away.
I grabbed my phone and he had already called me, was already on his way and was in the terminal with our bag within 15 mins.
Ya'll keep arguing over making customers do more. I'll keep staying at his house.
My son Dempsey wanted to do a dance around the world in Epcot at @WaltDisneyWorld.
Wife posted it on TikTok, now he's going viral and @Disney called us before we even left the parks and wanted to give him a gift for his new dance trend.
A year ago he went viral for singing with @PostMalone in Idaho.
This kids got me beat and he's only 11....
I just came back from3 weeks in Italy this summer.
Every single tour guide and local I communicated with talked passionately about how the Pope murdered and enslaved the Italian people for generations...
This seems like the wrong person to comment on this.
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty
It's a weird day when they got me cheering on the SEC....
My thanks go to everyone who put so much effort into the CLARITY Act— across the Administration, Congress, investors, and innovators. Our collective conviction that America must continue to lead is indispensable.
I have been unequivocal: with or without legislation, we will act decisively within the SEC’s statutory authority to deliver certainty for American investors and for the entrepreneurs shaping our technological future.
Stay tuned.
I worked for a large firm 12+ years ago, before I started Windle Wealth But there's a story about how that happened that most people don't know.
In 2014 I had been going back and forth on whether I should leave and start my own firm. Whether or not I could do it. I spent a lot of time driving through office parks on my way home from work every night just to look at what was available and really dream more than anything.
One day, I made my way through our current office park. I drove around it a little bit and noticed a "For Rent" sign on the building we are currently in. Normally I wouldn't call but it was close to home and something told me to call.
I was parked in front and a man picked up the phone. He was extremely excited to hear from me. I said "I was just curious about the office you have for rent". He said "Are you there now? I will be there in 5 minutes if you can wait!". I said, "Well I just had some questions". He said, "No, stay there. I want to show it to you"
He pulled up and we spent the next 3 hours talking in what is now our conference room. I told him how frustrated I was with the company I worked for and he told me how he went through the same thing as a doctor at a large hospital. He then said something to me that I repeat to this day: "Always bet on yourself. You know what's right for your clients".
As we were walking out I told him that I'd have to think about it as I just wasn't sure if it was the right time.
He stopped me: "DJ. You remind me of me. I know you will do great things for people. I want you to have your own business, so you can take care of people. Here is the key to the office. It's yours. If you promise me you'll leave in the next 30 days, you don't need to pay rent for 3 months and you can pay me the deposit over the next 6 months and I'll be one of your first clients at your new firm". I left with the keys, no lease and an opportunity. From a man I had just met.
He did become one of the first Windle Wealth clients and for the next 12 years, not a single interaction whether by phone or in person, ended without him saying "I love you man. I'm so proud of you"
We found out today this beautiful man passed away last week at 67. He had just been in my office the week before. We were drinking coffee on a Friday afternoon trying to solve all the worlds problems and his lack of technology skills.
He gave me the opportunity to employ people, to get married, to travel the world, to take care of people, to buy the home we live in, to record an album in the Oregon Mountains and to impact hundreds of people in many states.
I've lost dozens of people I have absolutely adored over 20 years of doing this and it doesn't get any eaaier. But I sure will miss the hell out of this guy saying "I love you man....."
I spent 3.5 hours with someone in my office today.
We didn't even discuss finances.
We talked about the death of her husband. what it's like suddenly waking up being the oldest person alive in your family with no one to talk to, how she feels about scratching and clawing to keep her home for over 40 years, just to have to sell it now that her husbands gone.
and we spent a lot of time wiping tears away, while talking about what her life looks like going forward and who she wants to be now that it's her turn to decide.
All these advisors posting about CEO compensation, Roth Conversions, Tax Optimization and how many "leads" they got online just don't get it.
I just don't care about your junk posts. There's a whole person there you are ignoring.

Meet Jimmy Belobraydic, our Tax Guy.
He brings real depth in tax, but more importantly, a client-first mindset that shows up in how he thinks, communicates, and works through complex situations.
We’re excited he’s here. Welcome to the team, Jimmy.
