Juan Atkins wasnt signed to a major and didn't make commercial music. There's no big capitalist machine invested in profiting from his posthumous career, so the accolades are going to come entirely from the literal millions who's lives were changed by his art- that's true legacy

When my long awaited EP comes out later this year I hope @misterminsoo says it sounds like I barely spend any time on RYM and really only when I’m googling things like “what’s the deal with Edward Skeletrix?” or “Edward Skeletrix joke?”
To me there is Basically nothing more damning you can say about someone’s music than “it’s very obvious they spend a lot of time on RYM”
