What our team built on Cloudflare in the week after @cloudflare Connect 2026:
An app platform for client apps
One host Worker runs many small client apps. A new app goes live with no new Cloudflare setup. Alerts when an app goes down, nightly database backups. An answer to the client message "Can you build us a tool to...?"
→ Workers, Dynamic Workers, Durable Objects, D1, R2, Workers AI, AI Gateway, Email Sending
A full booking platform
Classes, rooms, staff, add-ons, gift cards, blocked dates, changes and refunds, and asset management. It replaces a paid booking service. Biggest cost saving build for a client. The end of dependence on a third-party app.
→ Workers, D1, R2, Pages
An async and live video studio
Record on your own time, or two people live. Every take saves as it records, so a crash loses nothing. AI edits across all the cameras. Prevented a $9k/year Riverside fm upgrade. We tested this at Connect on new friends in our Circle.
→ Workers, RealtimeKit, D1, R2, Cron Triggers
A self-owned video library
Ask questions across every video. Live recording room built in. Goodbye Vimeo.
→ Stream, RealtimeKit, AI Search, Workers AI, Queues, D1, R2, Cron Triggers
An AI image studio
Photo booth and editor with brand kits, AI ads, thumbnails and a public share site. Just for fun based on a Cloudflare demo.
→ Workers, D1, R2, Email Sending
An AI video-call background maker. Simple app but client loves the simplicty.
→ Dynamic Workers, D1, R2
Our own version of Neo: a book writing studio.
Just wow. Book writing combined with research, ai-editing, page layout, and integration with Amazon KDP. Plans, drafts and edits long-form books with AI. This is just a Book Factory.
→ Workers, Workers AI, Browser Rendering, D1, R2
A group scheduling and invitation app. This is our super version of Evite but also can be used to find times for groups to meet. So useful.
Branded for each client.
→ Workers, Workers AI, D1, R2, Email Sending, Cron Triggers
One trip planner.
We are already planning or next trip.
→ Workers, KV, Static Assets
A staff OS
One signed-in door to all of a business's internal tools. Quickly setup a companies internal OS all based on Cloudflare.
→ Workers, Cloudflare Access, Email Sending, Cloudflare OS
A new website with a contact form. Ok simple, but needed to celebrate our skills with these new services! Rockettools.io
→ Workers, Turnstile, Email Sending
One week. One platform. One huge reason to make this an annual event for our team.
Hospital community benefit is a joke.
Donors are solicited to build a buildilng with their name on it.
Technology that bills expensive procedures is placed inside.
The community is not given a discount and there is no increase in charity or low cost care.
Community benefit = non-tax paying. That is all.
At Cloudflare Connect 2026, I cloned a repo and shipped a full training and education site in under 10 minutes. Built live, then demo'd to the crowd. Zero dashboard clicks.
The stack:
- Cloudflare's new cf CLI
- Claude Code
- Herdr running the agents side by side
My take: if your deploy still needs a dashboard, that's a habit, not a requirement.
What's the one thing you still need a dashboard for? I'll tell you if I think the terminal can handle it.

#CloudflareConnect 2026 is officially underway at Moscone West. For the next three days, San Francisco is home base for the people who build, run and secure the Internet: 240+ sessions, hands-on labs, certification exams and a lot of deep conversations. We'll be sharing the moments as they happen.
So many use cases here. My head swims.
First Clef, now Clairic.
Clef picks from options you give it. Clairic extracts values from a receipt photo, a support email, or a CSV of daily counts.
You get typed answers with confidence scores in one forward pass, without generating output tokens.
Use them ahead of an LLM and you can keep the raw input away from the model writing the reply. It gets the extracted values, not the original email.
Great work by @michellechen and the Workers AI team. In preview now, with open weights coming soon.

Crazy to think the best businesses just give everyone what only the rich had.
Uber: a private driver
Airbnb: a vacation home
AI: a genius
Next up: robots. A house staff for $499 a month. 🤖
What else is still only for the rich? (Start that business!)
This could be the defining meeting of the year.
Good night, San Francisco! ✨
Moscone West is glowing and ready for #CloudflareConnect 🧡
We can’t wait to see you all starting tomorrow morning. Get some rest, and just look for the orange! ☁️
See you there!

Auto-reply: I'm heading to #CloudflareConnect from Oct 19–21. For urgent matters, find me in the hallway at Moscone West.
Crazy Dev Nerds -> OpenClaw
Polished Dev Nerds -> Hermes
Practical Devs -> GrokBot
Devs who just learned or admitted to using Claude Code -> Dots
Asynchronous video solution using nothing but @Cloudflare for pennies compared to thousands for solutions like Riverside.fm.
Build what you need and pay for wha you want. End of expensive SaaS is going to be the hallmark of 2027.
This week we used Opus 5.5 to live onboard a new client for an all business website from ideation to creation. This was our first meeting and when we finished after an hour his new site was hosted and life on @Cloudflare using the new CLI.
This included purchasing the domain, building the site, and configuring the DNS. He was paying $500 a month for someone to manage his old Wordpress site. That is no longer the case.
I love everything about the new @raycast Nuphy keyboard. Great touch and sound!
The ability to create video applications using Cloudflare Stream is absolutely amazing. I'll have our Riverside async clone public repo out tomorrow in time to share @cloudflare Connect next week.
Given the offer to add async recording to Riverside.fm today for a $10k per year add-on. Our team vibe coded an alternative in an hour tonight complete with audio processing and dedicated client pages. Works on desktop and mobile with a voice following teleprompter. We can have Claude Code send an email with a link, script, and everything pre-loaded for a busy client to record content on their own time. Built entirely on Cloudflare btw.
If you are a traditional SaaS platform watch your pricing or quickly risk having a Kodak (I mean Adobe) moment.

American Airlines has just officially announced that it will be installing SpaceX’s @Starlink across its entire mainland fleet of 1,030+ aircraft, up from the previously announced number of 500.
Installations will begin in early 2027 and use Starlink's Performance Aero Terminal, which can deliver speeds of up to 1 Gbps per terminal.
“Our customers have told us that dependable connectivity can make a meaningful difference in how they spend their time in the air," said American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden. "Whether they are livestreaming a favorite show, gaming, collaborating in real time on an important work deal, scrolling social media or online shopping, Starlink will give our customers countless options to make the most of their time while traveling. Just as importantly, it provides the foundation for future innovations that will further enhance the customer experience."

Grok Bot might be the first product with an actual cult following developing. Hundreds of people in a room just focused on people’s grok bot setups.
