What if…and this is wild here…
What if…the carbon taxes went towards building out the infrastructure to decarbonize. You know, like electric charging stations from east to west, solarification of rooftops and parking lots, expansion of public transportation…
Crazy, I know…

Nothing says wealth creator like buying an apartment building and charging everyone more for the same fucking apartments.

Amazed that supposedly smart people working in tech couldn't see this coming.
It took me 5 minutes with a calculator.
Maybe just knowing how to code doesn't qualify you as a genius after all.
“.. AI buildout is no longer just consuming cash and piling on debt; it’s also issuing more claims on whatever profits do emerge. AI stocks started really selling off just as it became clear that more equity issuance would be part of the buildout story.”

A libertarian could be trapped in an elevator owned by a private monopoly, getting charged $50 a minute for oxygen, and still spend his last breath explaining why government regulation would make things worse.

Hopefully there's a strip mall college in Brampton that will offer a similar deal to Pierre Polievre when he is forced out.

The side promising you heaven on earth is the cult. The side pointing out the obvious danger is just regular people.
The thing with AI, is that negatives are immediately obvious and predictable
but all benefits (cure cancer, infinite abundance) are totally speculative and hypothetical
We are being asked to take certain pain, for deeply uncertain rewards
Which is an incredibly religious notion, when you think about it

If you're $50 short on a bank payment, they'll charge you another $35 for being broke.
If a bank loses $50 billion, suddenly the entire fucking economy depends on saving it.
Funny how capitalism demands financial responsibility from everyone except the people running it.

Yet you deleted the video. Why? Because it was racist, and you knew exactly what you were doing. Spare us the pretence of wanting reasonable debate. You’re not interested in dialogue. You traffic in racism, profit from division, and hide behind free speech when you’re called out.

Oh no Sharan, let's not be ridiculous... Saying "diversity is our strength, what is happening" to a Senator who relies on identity focused optics to deflect from radical structural policy isn’t fear of arabic… that’s just a lazy take. It’s calling out his own political branding in real time, what he used and advocated for himself to mask a deeply polarizing and fractured winning coalition. Deconstructing that campaign theater is standard commentary, not being terrified of a language, culture or religion. Which you should know, as it’s something you do frequently on CTV News, right? I think this just shows that one of us paid attention to his rhetoric during the campaign trail and watched many rallies live, and the other read a lot of news headlines and social media posts.
P.S. As for "grifter"? If that’s what you call a 13-year broadcast veteran, you might want to open a dictionary. There's a massive difference between professional media commentary and a grift. The fact you chose to dishonestly use that term (like the left always does) to discredit, demean, and distract away from any conversation is a big red flag. If a woman with a decade + career in communications, public speaking, broadcasting and political/news commentary is a grifter… then I guess we’re two of the same! The difference is id rather have a conversation with you, and you’d rather do whatever this is to try and score some sort of political point for your party. Bizarre… but good luck!

Stock market has turned into a Ponzi scheme kept alive by the FED, too big to fail policies and circular financing. Good riddance.
There is much to celebrate this week, but I want to call specific attention to historic gains Democratic women made in representation:
- For the first time in history, over 100 Democratic women will serve in the U.S. House.
- At least 16 Democratic women will serve in the Senate.
- At least 14 Democratic women will serve as governors, a record high.
- A record of 2,600 Democratic women running for seats in state legislatures helped flip 12 majorities and break 11 supermajorities.
- Four states elected their first woman governor: Georgia, Minnesota, Ohio, and Tennessee.
- @KeishaBottoms will be the first Black woman to serve as a governor.
- @DebHaalandNM will be the first Native American woman to serve as a governor.
- @GinaHinojosaTX will be the first Latina to serve as governor of Texas.
- @peggyflanagan will be the first Native American woman to serve in the Senate.
I am beyond excited to see these extraordinary people and public servants tackle accountability, affordability, and our other challenges to make life better for everyone in this country.
Congratulations to everyone who ran: win or lose, fighting for what's right is always worth it.
