Everyone protects their money, time and reputation. But high-achievers protect how they think. When I started raising for @magicdotfit, I heard ‘NO’ 150 times. At first, every rejection felt personal. After a while, I stopped treating each no as a verdict. I started treating it as notes on what to fix before the next pitch. That shift kept me going long enough to find the investors who got it. Today we’re stocked in the UK’s largest retailer and have reached all 50 US states. Money, people and timing all matter. But every one of them depends on how you react when things go wrong. Two people can hear the exact same no. One takes it as proof they should stop. The other takes what’s useful and goes again. Same setback. Different mindset. That’s why it’s the asset worth protecting most. ♻️ Repost to inspire someone in your network Follow me - @varunbhanot for more 💪

The UK tax code runs to 23,522 pages. Switzerland is 300 pages. More complexity = more ways to tax you.

The right award can open serious doors for your business, and the wrong one costs you weeks of effort for very little in return. Choosing well means matching your business to awards that are credible, fit your goals and are worth your time - and that’s hard to do when you don’t know which ones those are. That’s why I’ve co-founded AwardsApp with Donna O’Toole of August Recognition. It matches you with credible awards and categories from a verified database of over 1,000 UK and global awards, then helps you build the entry with AI-assisted tools and proven awards frameworks. WRU director of rugby Dave Reddin says the governing body are committed to cutting a professional men's side despite the recent backlash against its plans. This summer the WRU outlined proposals to cut from four professional teams to three by 2028. Ospreys and Scarlets are set to fight to be the solitary side in west Wales, with Cardiff and Dragons safe. #BBCRugby #Rugby

Amy texted me this list yesterday. I'm 60, closing in on 61, and thinking more about what I actually care about. The real luxuries in life: time, health, a quiet mind, slow mornings, rest without guilt, calm and "boring" days, people who love you back. feld.com/archives/2026/09/th…

This is so true @DanielPriestley and the evidence we are gathering from our founders backs it up
Nobody who's genuinely good at growing a business from £300k to £1M wants a job. That's an entrepreneurial skill set, and those people have their own businesses. You can hire someone to manage operations, deliver the product, and keep the team on track. You cannot hire someone to generate demand, build authority, and position you as the obvious choice in your market. That work lives and dies with the founder. Every hour you spend on the running side is an hour stolen from the growing side. Hire for everything else but keep the growth. It all starts with how you pitch - watch the full breakdown of how to get it right: bit.ly/3UmvhSD

If this is not acceptable 'Mr Headhunter', then many thanks for your time, but please inform the WRU that I am withdrawing from the process. "

It's over 13 years since Peter Thomas characterised the WRU's attitude to the pro clubs as "power, control, divide, conquer, wipeout". The faces may have changed, but it sometimes seems that little else has.

As more and more students begin using A.I. to complete assignments, professors across the country are changing their approach—and losing their hope. “My emotional response to all this is hard to describe, something between disgust and despair,” a history professor writes. “Was it always the case that half of our students would cheat if it were easy enough?” Jay Caspian Kang collects testimonials from 12 faculty members from across the country on how A.I. usage in the classroom has changed their work.
