Dave Smith got owned in a debate with @coldxman so he tried a rematch and got owned even harder

Today’s guilty plea confirms what we knew all along—when the Boulder firebomber lobbed two Molotov cocktails at a group of Jewish activists, killing an 82-year-old woman and injuring others, he targeted the individuals because they were Jewish.
There can be no room for nuance when denouncing antisemitism. It has no place in our society and must be categorically condemned by leaders and citizens alike.

Let’s be clear about something.
El-Sayed chose to bring Hasan Piker into the Democratic primary for a critical swing-state senate race. He chose to tie himself to and elevate one of the most noxious, bigoted, divisive figures he possibly could. He campaigned with him five times. He spent election night of the primary at an “influencer” pool party with the guy. He set the tone for this entire campaign.
Since then, El-Sayed has been given ample opportunity to disavow Piker, to address the concerns of Jewish Dems, and to bring the party together. He’s rejected almost every single one. More often, he’s dug in and doubled down — as he’s doing now.
Christ, the man can’t even condemn an “it’s Jews making your groceries expensive” ad.
There’s one person and person alone who’s responsible for dividing Democrats and injecting groyper-style noxiousness into Michigan Democratic politics. His name is Abdul El-Sayed.

Respectfully, Abdul has done nothing to earn the support of Jewish voters and is struggling to make ends meet with other voters who likely preferred Haley Stevens in the primary. The meltdown Abdul is having now over Stevens’ rightful condemnation of antisemitism shows why he’s unfit to be a US Senator.

It took you 9 hours to produce a word salad that basically says “nope, not gonna stop trafficking in antisemitism”
This response to Stevens asking him to just condemn antisemitism says everything you need to know about El-Sayed. Pathetic.

Hi @AbdulElSayed can you please confirm that you have condemned the antisemitic ad from rebellion pac that was done in support of your campaign?
On the eve of the eve of the eve of our BIG and important election, a unifying moment has arrived, our democratic nominee for U.S Senate disavows the Rebellion PAC ad made by Hasan Piker’s uncle that claims Jews are responsible for America’s economic woes. We have learned from party leaders and emissaries, as reported in the news media that he has.
On Sunday I will join with the Great Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn and Dr El Sayed for a church service in the beautiful city of Detroit.
The political coalition of Black and Jewish voices that have carried Michigan and this country through so many storms to the righteous path of liberal democracy and equal opportunity for all will ring out. Full statement here:

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

So if Eisenkot's coalition doesn't join with Arab parties, they're racist?
One of the Arab parties is extremely anti-LGBTQ+. They refuse to condemn Hamas.
When you judge a party by what you see as its "race," instead of its stances, who is the racist one?

The largest synagogue in the state of Michigan released a statement yesterday saying an ad by "Rebellion PAC" in support of Abdul El-Sayed is antisemitic, calling upon politicians to denounce it.
Full statement below from Temple Israel, the same place attacked by a Hizballah-inspired extremist earlier this year:
---------------------
“In a place where there is no humanity, strive to be human.” (Hillel, Pirkei Avot 2:5)
This week, Rebellion PAC circulated an advertisement in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race in which a couple struggles to afford groceries and viewers are told that the world’s only Jewish state is to blame. This is antisemitism, plain and simple, built on one of history’s oldest and most dangerous lies.
Antisemitism is not a matter of left or right, and in moments like this, silence is not neutral.
We call on every political leader in Michigan on every side of the aisle to name this ad for what it is and refuse to normalize its message.
We ask our neighbors of every faith and background to stand with us and use their voices to denounce this rhetoric.
And we ask our own community to stay strong, to speak up, and to keep standing against hatred in any form.
We will choose to be human and continue making a difference.
-The Clergy and Leadership of Temple Israel

I love when moments appear that show the real Abdul. Outside of the slopulism, and no clear plans to accomplish his rhetoric, his personality and ego will be a huge hidden barrier. If elected, this dude is going to have even democratic colleagues refusing to work with him. At best, Michiganders will get a social media personality who will lecture them. Another person close to him once told me that “success will be his downfall.”
It’s literally all about identify politics for Lander.
New York Democratic House candidate Brad Lander says he was out in Michigan talking to Jewish voters about "what it would mean to have Elissa Slotkin and Abdul El-Sayed, a Jewish Michigander and Muslim Michigander, representing that great state."
Lander acknowledged that people are trepidatious about that possibility, "but they like that image of the two of them together," adding, "what a beautiful representation for that state."
