Chance Mallory is poised to be #UVA's starting point guard, and no one could be more grateful. “It means everything to me. My family, growing up in Charlottesville, going to all the games as a kid." pilotonline.com/2026/10/27/d…

“I think he’ll be a multi-time All-American — hopefully he’s at Virginia his whole career,” Richmond coach Chris Mooney said. “He’s just a great, great player.”

For everyone asking, “how is this legal?” It’s not! He gathers with his right foot on the floor and would be permitted two steps by rule (left-right). He takes four steps after gathering the ball and travels.

Not so minor point. They told Kelsey and everyone else what the rules were. Most coaches followed them. Several chose to support legal challenges and sign those players. Which of course is their right, but they can't say they didn't know what the rules are.

Pat Kelsey on the witness stand is electric: "Tell me the rules and I'll follow them! Nobody follows them. You're trying to trick me with a bunch of stuff. END THE CHAOS! END. THE. CHAOS."

The math on James Madison's Sun Belt-to-American move is fairly simple, even at a reduced share. The American distributes an avg of about $7 million to its members in TV money every year. The Sun Belt's deal gives its membership in the $1 million range.

Per ESPN sources, the timing of this JMU move comes in part because the Sun Belt had been attempting to raise the exit fees. The league was meeting about that this week and voting later in the week, which sped up this process of the Sun Belt.

Ever since NIL, revenue sharing and unlimited transfers came to college sports, we've seen evidence suggesting Cinderella might be dying. It's never been more stark than this football season.

William & Mary, one of the nation’s most historic and best colleges, may have solved the entire eligibility scandal that’s been rocking the sport all summer. What if teams simply scored more points than the teams with questionably eligible players. 🤔
