Woman of a certain rage. I write stories about people trying to make sense of their world. I want you to read more, think more, and use AI less.

I have a one-on-one with them and if that doesn’t help then I make sure I’m busy whenever they’re part of the group.

We need a word to describe the rage and nausea of looking at the latest issues of lit mags that rejected your work only to find they ran several stories clearly written by AI despite their no AI policy. At least I’m saving money with yet another canceled subscription.

Imagine if this had been a Democrat’s child. Wouldn’t even need to be Hunter Biden at the height of his struggles. Chelsea Clinton, Sasha or Malia Obama, Amy Carter? We’d never hear the end of it.
I feel like Jared Kushner being at the center of the plot that ultimately led to an American journalist being dismembered via bone saw while he was still alive should be a much bigger deal than our billionaire owned news media is making of it.

Basically the dumping ground for pre-2018 text books.

Well damn. I’d been choosing the boiled eggs thinking they were the option least likely to be riddled with preservatives. Will you be ruining Greek yogurt for me next?

Meta should be required to disclose every single IP address it uses to access other sites for any reason, from anywhere, so site owners can block them. If they refuse to divulge that info, then slap them with IP theft, RICO wire fraud, and criminal trespass.
Meta recently updated their terms of service to require any businesses that use their products to turn over their intellectual property in exchange for access to their platforms. I’m urging Meta to reverse this decision and compensate creators and publishers for their work.

I went through this very thing with someone recently and had been trying to put it into words. Seeing your post today after @Suzzicks responded brought it together. It’s such a weird thing to experience, and every interaction makes it worse.

Yes! Sometimes it feels like they have a completely wrong version of you in their mind, but that’s the one they’re reacting to and nothing you do will fix it.

President Trump is a walking poster child for dementia. Half the nation diagnosed him years ago. Maybe your brain worm makes this difficult to understand, but you’ll have plenty of time to think about it in jail.

It is, and it’s sad watching them struggle then flinch from the truth. “The horror! The horror!”

We don’t talk enough about how introspection is like muscle: if you don’t get in the habit of using it, you’ll get old, and it’ll be too late. I see so many people my age and older who wandered through life never thinking about how they were impacting others. Now they’re alone and depressed because no one wants to be around them, and they don’t understand how their recklessness toward others’ feelings has led to that. Introspection: use it or lose it.

Always feels like it just invites angry comments from other people there, too.

From a KU student: “I started using ChatGPT in my head…” People, we are doomed.

I didn’t even realize there’s an urgent vet in OP! You’re so right about Blue Pearl. Great place but I nearly needed the ER myself after the bill.

All while being told not to eat, drink, smoke, snort, or screw whatever and don’t forget to tip 25%.
Someone finally put it into words

I’m getting so tired of the “how dare you expect anyone to do the job for which they’re paid and don’t you dare use the service for which you’ve been charged, but also tip 25% or you don’t deserve either” attitude.

Why would it take the professional cleaner four hours but only take the guest 30 seconds?
