put the book down if you're just going to criticize every female character in it. if you think being misogynistic, insensitive, and tone-deaf makes you look superior or cool, then you're clearly not learning anything from the books you claim to be reading.

feyre breastfeeding and talking about the changes her body went through as a new mother is a problem, becoming more confident and assertive is a problem, wanting to protect her son from war is a problem… it’s obvious that people will continue to criticize her no matter what she does because they just can't stand the fact that her character will always matter and isn’t going anywhere just because she’s a mother now

The real question is, how is it that so many disgusting misogynistic women decided to pick up a series about female empowerment ? How did this even happen I’m genuinely curious I need them to come here and explain it to me

I was genuinely having a hard time trying to put my thoughts into words but my girls helped me a lot throughout the process 🫂
ACOSH is meant to feel incomplete because the only way to complete the puzzle is to have Elain's POV and parts 2-4.
Also, we should not focus on the romance only. ACOSH was meant to TRIGGER something, may it be the political alliance, or the friendship etc.
It's NOT supposed to be the ANSWER, it's the QUESTION, it's the "WHY everything's going to happen".

That’s another thing I wanted to mention - people always comparing Elriel to other ships but what if sjm is and wants to do something *DIFFERENT* her old canon does not automatically mean that her new story will follow it to a tea.
- a story like she's never written before
- part one of one long story
- characters with complex journeys
- sweeping and exciting
Oh Elriel, you're so underestimated 🩷 can't wait for January ♡

Ohhh Azriel's fan girls are dropping one by one. This is what happens when you fall in love with a character YOU made up. Now Azriel is not following the script YOU made up for him. At least his real fans still love him.💙

Yes there defo needs to be healing on both sides with Elain and Azriel, but this doesn't mean they can't be endgame. We had the same dynamic with Rhys + Feyre, Nesta + Cassian, Aelin + Rowan, Chaol + Yrene like two things can be true at the same time guys

some people are being gaslighted, please snap out of it. elriel is already happening and will continue to happen in the next movements. sjm won't write all that down just to make them end up with other male/female.
it seems fast-paced, yes, but it was because there is A LOT of events that are yet to happen. always remember that elriel has been under development since ACOMAF. if SJM would scrap them, she should've done that sooner. ACOSH is just part 1, we're not meant to see the conclusion of everything in this book.
Also, do not let those negative contents get into your heads, you're supposed to enjoy the book and not stress yourselves out. hehe that's all 💋💕
Also, the expectations really affected majority of the people in the fandom. we've had a lot of theories for years and I genuinely think people subconsciously believed that some of it will happen. I think that's also why we think the story is fast-paced, because we were "expecting” it to be a slow-burn introduction to elriel's relationship (but as stated, they've been introduced since ACOMAF).
we need time to let the story sink into our minds, and remind ourselves that we do not have the same mind as the author. whatever she writes is her own and our theories are our own, they're not always meant to match 100%.

the fact that feyre was the first to ask elain if she loves azriel means so much to me like she really DOES get them, she knows deep down theyre not just fooling around. once she realizes that az feels the same way she WILL secure this endgame #trust in mother
