A useful test of independent political thinking is whether you can criticize your preferred party, acknowledge when the opposition is correct, and change your mind when presented with credible evidence. It seems like this is nearly non-existent now.

Major cheat code for life: The ability to recognize things that don’t matter. The world will pressure you to care about every single thing. To chase every problem. To take every slight personally. To have opinions on everything. Reject that trend. Focus on a few, ignore the rest.
This is 100% the fault of government.
Billionaires did not do this to you.

10 years ago: 30-yr mortgage rate was 3.5% & average new home price in the US was $350k
Today: 30-yr mortgage rate is 6.5% & average new home price is $540k
Result: $38k increase in down payment (assuming 20% down) and 117% increase in monthly payment (from $1,257 to $2,731)
Billionaire’s that create jobs and innovations are not the problem. The irresponsible government spending, lack of accountability, and failure to properly allocate the massive resources it already has is the problem. Both sides are guilty of financial recklessness.

The thing nobody tells you about exponential change is that it feels like nothing is happening right up until the moment everything happens at once.

Startup founders & investors pay huge salaries and even equity for talent for many years while losing money if there is enough momentum to continue raising for the longer term payoff.
WNBA should be no different given team valuations are growing very rapidly. Pay the players.
A really good sign of whether someone will be successful long term at their career is if they start at 8am, they don’t sit in the car if they arrive at 7:56. Tells you everything you need to know about how they view it.
Main problem with education is it’s all about following ‘the rules’ which may or not make any sense whatsoever. Success often comes at larger magnitude from breaking them vs. doing what you’re told.
HSA's need higher limits and no restrictions on income for contributing. The process of trying to prevent people that make a lot of money today (or in a particular year) from contributing to their future healthcare makes no sense. Cut the red tape.
There is no guarantee someone making a lot of money will continue to do so. I have seen multi-millionaires run out of money or close enough to be nervous due to long term care costs. Everyone needs more money in HSA's.
