Waiver Wire Angle: Week 8
I’m out on a work trip this week, so my guy @fantasyinstall stepped in and took over the Waiver Wire Angle for me.
A few of the names and situations inside:
Jonah Coleman leads the priority claims with legitimate league-winning upside
Rachaad White and Antonio Williams should both see major usage bumps in Washington
Caleb Douglas is back and immediately reminded everyone of his ceiling
Travis Hunter is one of the most
interesting stashes on the board
Seth McGowan could become very relevant depending on what happens with Jonathan Taylor
Also, Dylan Sampson, Makai Lemon, Mason Taylor and more. Plus QB streamers for 1QB and Superflex leagues. You’ll also find FAAB ranges, deeper stashes and the players who may be sitting on waivers that should take priority over this week’s new names.
Full Week 8 Waiver Wire Angle is live now on AngleRanks.

List of backup QBs that are available in a lot of deep SF dynasty leagues. If you’re contending, you should consider targeting your starters backup QBs on waivers. If rebuilding, some of these guys are even good to stash.
Kyle McCord - dolphins
Stetson Bennett - rams
Kyle Allen - bills
Tommy Cutlets (devito) - patriots
Mason Rudolph - steelers
Davis Mills - texans
Mitchell Trubisky - titans
Trey Lance - chargers
Sam Howell - cowboys
Joshua Dobbs - lions
Tyrod Taylor - packers
Carson Wentz - vikings
Kenny Pickett - panthers
Spencer Rattler - saints
Gardner Minshew (I’d be worried he’s replaced by Beck tho so maybe not him) - cardinals

My week 7 desperation STARTS (all players likely available on waivers)
Aaron Rodgers vs NO
- 21.7 FPPG over his last 4
- Saints allowing 18.5 FPPG to QBs on the season
Geno Smith vs MIA
- QBs vs MIA avg 226 pyds + 2.2 ptds per game
- MIA sneaky good against the run, NYJ may have to throw more
Zonovan Knight vs DEN
- 17 touches last week w/ Jeremiyah Love out
- 50/50 backfield with him and Allgeier & he was much more efficient last week
Tyrone Tracy vs HOU
- longshot one here, but Skatt in the doghouse & Tracy had 2 TDs last week
- tough matchup, gotta hope for volume here
Christian Kirk vs ATL
- Evans + Deebo out, would be clear WR1 if he were to play
- ATL gives up 38.2 fppg to WRs
Konata Mumpfield vs AZ
- Adams out, Puka possibly out too
Tyler Higbee vs AZ
- Same as Mumpfield, but Higbee is startable with or without puka playing
Titans defense vs CLE
- sneaky solid fantasy defense this year (#14 @ 6.8 fppg)
- 5 straight games with 2 sacks, coming off a 6 sack 3 turnover week vs IND
- Browns offense is bad!
