So uh… Apple should really rethink the Private Cloud Compute developer access limitation. I do happen to have an app that’s had more than 2 million downloads. An app that’s been in the App Store for over 10 years. And I’m also not making any real money with it 🥲 #wwdc26

Built Bouncer 7 years ago to filter SMS spam. Not much changes since.
No algo. No AI. No bullshit. Just a wordlist.
This is what simple solutions look like: a few words get rid of 99% of spam. Still works perfectly today.

Apple created a private communication system, and runs its own infrastructure for it. A 3rd-party app reverse-engineered the system and injected itself in while letting Apple carry the server burden. Oh, and attempted to charge $ for it.
How is Apple in the wrong here, exactly?
