Covid preys on division, but we can end this pandemic if we work together. It's encouraging that governors from both sides of the aisle are joining together to support a comprehensive call to action. @TheCovidCollab covidcollaborative.us/call-t…

If I were to tweet once every hour the name of an American killed by Covid, it would take 33 years to honor every person we've lost so far.

#COVID19 testing at @ShoWareCenter today!
Many thanks to this crew from @UWMedicine Harbourview. They are braving the cold to do testing here @ShoWareCenter on Thursdays. No wait time walk ups welcome. Results usually in a day but mine were 12 hours recently. Have symptoms? Come by! @KCPubHealth

Yesterday was the deadliest day of the pandemic so far in Washington.
49 people died – pushing us over 3,000 total deaths from COVID-19.
Our hearts are with the families who have lost loved ones to this virus.

I’ve learned way more about COVID from WhatsApp groups & Twitter DMs with friends and colleagues (some I’ve never met) than I have from preprints and journal articles.
Is that surprising to hear? Would you read a story about that? Any outlets that want to publish that story?

More Americans died of COVID19 today than died on 9/11.
After that horrendous attack, we restructured our way of life & accepted limits on our freedoms to combat the threat of terrorism.
9/11 was one day. COVID is everyday.
Be a patriot. Wear a mask. Help us end this pandemic.
“‘A’ had to get a large dose in just five minutes, provided by larger aerosols probably about 50 microns,” she said. “Large aerosols or small droplets overlapping in that gray area can transmit disease further than one or two meters [3.3 to 6.6 feet] if you have strong airflow.”
"Incredibly, despite sitting a far distance away, the airflow came down the wall and created a valley of wind. People who were along that line were infected," Lee said. apple.news/A2_x8eumhT9irnQtr…
"Cloth masks are not as effective as N95 masks, which filter 95% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. (For reference, a Coronavirus particle ranges from 0.5-0.2 microns, but is mostly spread through larger aerosolized droplets from an infected person.) "

During a routine test yesterday, I tested positive for COVID-19.
I have no symptoms and am feeling well and I am in isolation at home.
I am following CDC and Department of Health guidelines. Frances has been tested and, as we await the result, is quarantining at home with me.
