I fly a Carbon Cub Ghost into the backcountry and build things that fly. Here I share what I'm learning: tailwheel and STOL flying, nerdy tools for pilots, and the founder journey. Follow along if that's your kind of nerd.

The Grok @Bot app crashing during dictation is also another flaw that needs to be addressed

The draft cards in @bot are a great idea and a great concept. But the UX is terrible. It needs a better experience for longer drafts. Especially on mobile…. Which in my interpretation and opinion is the surface that most people need and it should be the most polished out of all the surfaces. You’re welcome

We're now @xegaconnect. Same XEGAsi, new name. Xega is built to connect people and intelligences of every kind, starting with pilots and Xega Flight. If you followed us as @xega_ai, you're already in the right place.

Voice-to-text is solved. Voice-to-understanding isn't. I just spent 10 minutes talking to my Grok Bot, laughing half the time, and none of that made it through. The words got there, the tone didn't. The next layer isn't transcription accuracy. It's capturing how something was said: laughter, sarcasm, emphasis, hesitation. That's half of what a person means. Build that and it stops feeling like dictation and starts feeling like a conversation. @bot would be so much more powerful with enhanced context in the audio.

It's now been a few years since we completely migrated away from VMWare to Proxmox. (this was a massive multi datacenter project for us) How and why Broadcom snubbed an entire thriving virtualization community is still very interesting to me.

I might create a benevolent worm and release it on GitHub
if this PHP vulnerability allows remote code execution, doesn't that mean we can use the vulnerability to auto-patch all vulnerable servers?

Usage limits feel old school. There has to be a better solution.
For everyone using Grok Bot, how is your usage? I've blown my weekly usage in 6-8 hours for the $100 plan, 5% of the $200 plan in under 1 hour. People really running teams with Grok Bot, including building?

The new UX is for agents.
Apple will fail because Siri sucks, yes, but more so they will fail if they refrain from adding first party APIs to read and write into their walled garden. Agents want APIs. Computer use is great but inefficient. Even at Digital Optimus levels of ability (graphic bit stream in, digital control stream out, as opposed to screenshot, act, screenshot act).

The people writing the Roadster thrusters off as a novelty are the same ones who treat “clean air” as a permanent entitlement instead of a temporary boundary condition. Cold-gas RCS with closed-loop 6DOF control and IMU-vision fusion is the minimum viable system for nulling residual velocity on a body where escape velocity is centimeters per second and wheeled contact generates a fatal dust plume. Earth’s surface pressure is not a design requirement that lasts forever. The ones who hate the hardware specifically because it has Elon’s name on it are arguing we should optimize for the current atmosphere indefinitely. That’s not environmentalism. That’s cope.
