I sometimes wonder what century we’re living in. It’s barely believable that this guidance has to be issued in 2026. Just imagine having laboured for 12, 24 or more hrs and then being summonsed to court sometimes on the SAME DAY your baby is born.

I was reading about how seriously towns and villages of Sussex took their bonfires.
Notice the two Kentish bonfires mentioned- the Edenbridge Bonfire society and the Hawkhurst Gang. There is also the Lamberhurst Bonfire Boys, first documented in 1877.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has singled out the BBC as one of the worst offenders in terms of propagating Israeli narratives, and not allowing Palestinian guests to talk about the suffering of their people.
Albanese told us that the BBC and UK government are wrong to claim that we have to wait for the ICJ ruling to determine whether Israel has committed genocide - and that Britain has a duty to prevent genocide.
