Seeing some @expo/ui hype, so here's a quick sneak-peek of two features we're shipping that I'm personally really excited about: ➡️fully native input components + iOS form sections ➡️context menus + iOS previews

A historical day for CSS 😀🎉 If you write any components used and/or styled by others, you know how huge this is! background: if(style(--variant: success), var(--green)); Even if you don’t, this will allow things like: padding: if(var(--2xl), 1em, var(--xl) or var(--m), .5em); GitHub issue: github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/…

I wonder how if this css in js feature will be compiled by React Forget ^^
Pretty awesome React 19 will ship with CSS in JS support. It's going to be a game changer for library authors 🤩

tinybase with built-in #crdt ! Exciting news for the #LocalFirst space ^^
Where are we at with TinyBase v5? This is going to be a big release. The whole idea is that TinyBase becomes a CRDT and you can merge stores together. This will give us the native ability to synchronize data between clients or with a server.

React Compiler is the most awaited feature imo but I would love to see the others, especially use(Context)
By the end of 2024, you’ll likely never need these APIs again: • useMemo, useCallback, memo → React Compiler • forwardRef → ref is a prop • React.lazy → RSC, promise-as-child • useContext → use(Context) • throw promise → use(promise) • <Context.Provider> → <Context>

Also wanted to take this opportunity to call out some other great starter kits for React Aria Components from the community. • draft-ui.com by @JB_Hutch • jollyui.dev by @JollyShopland • baselayer.dev by @zwagnr It's so great to have lots of options to choose from with different styles, APIs, and consumption methods. 😍

I discovered the date-time picker is a #w3c standard... it is so wrong because it gives a direction toward a complex component that doesn’t work on mobile. Look, #popup over popup. where is the 3rd popup on top for the seconds??
