Pretty simple. City found guilty of trying to match the spending of the red cartel. Not only 3 clubs in English football should be able to spend what they want. Villa should be included as much as City or anyone.

People keep talking about the current & future brand damage to the PL re Man City sanctions, but am I alone in not caring about whether the PL is the biggest/best in the world? I’ll follow Villa whatever our league looks like and regardless of money and talent it attracts.

Frankly, football was better - more competitive, unpredictable rise-and-fall - before the PL era. English football has a rich history since before 1992 and it’ll survive just fine come what may. Man City should be properly punished regardless of consequences to the league itself.

I say play him and see what he can do. Emery clearly doesn’t fancy Tammy so give Madjo the chance to sink or swim with the carrot of being a genuine competitor for Watkins to start next season. Great experience either way so strike while he has some pre-season momentum.
