Robert Carlock pointed towards the Homonym game show as his favorite cut-away gag in 30 Rock and yeah it's one of the best.

Flanagan reminds me one of my favorite Black Adder jokes, where the medieval turnip farmer can wish for absolutely anything and have that wish granted, but his worldview is so limited that all he can think to wish for is a big turnip.

Mike Flanagan says that he would love to make a ā€˜JAWSā€™ movie. ā€œHonestly, I wish to hell I could make a JAWS movie. Another example where no one will EVER get close to the original, but there is a ton of room for improvement on the sequels.ā€

My only take on the NYT TV list, which is *fine* in the sense that when you have a large voter base youā€™re gonna get all the ā€œrightā€ answers but never the proper order, is that itā€™s a goddamn crime that REVIEW didnā€™t make the cut. Thatā€™s egregious and unfair.

The best TV show of the 21st century is 30 Rock. Prestige is fake. Tina Fey should be carved into a mountain. We can debate her flaws the way we debate Abraham Lincoln's suspension of habeas corpus.
