As I continue to light up stages globally, I’m embarking on a new challenge. It's a steep learning curve... But at 55, instead of fading I choose to rage against the dying of the light. Age won't dim my passion; it only fuels my fire. 🔥

Do you BURN bridges? Or hedge your bets? I'm all in on the 'Business & Beyond' podcast as my value add for prospects. Am currently burning the other stuff to the ground & directing everyone over this new bridge. I love the excitement & the focus. What about you?

Do you say "No" easily? I don't. Never have. & yet it's bloody critical if you want to succeed. If you do it easily, please share. I always get there but it can be messy! Mess that an early "No" would have avoided.

4 hour drive to Hatfield. 4 hour delivery. 1 hour lunch with clients. 5 hours back. Ha! Ha! I love speaking but anyone who tells you it's all 1st class planes and foreign climes is having a giraffe!

It's funny, isn't it? I look down my timeline and realise people have no real interest. They'd rather read platitudes, crap and repetitive tips that've been formatted in a way that looks pretty, than actual real shit about life and people.

I can't be bothered with templates and shit on here. Just pisses me off and make it feel like work. I think I'm entitled to somewhere I can just post without having to think about work all the time. Y'all know what I do, right? I help CEOs, MDs & leaders to kick ass. Oh, and I speak around the globe. Wanna chat about that, I'm here. Otherwise, you're getting stories, updates, comments on flapjacks... (Never actually done that but I like flapjacks so I might!) ... travel, whatever. And some tips. Obviously, tips.

Just clicked on one of the trending topics on the right. Never done that before. I now see why people say Twitter is full of hateful bile. Includes posts from well-known people. Sad that this is how people live their lives; hating on others.

Read this from James. I did. The doc is worth it for the thinking and ideas, even if you don't start a group. I DID though. Newly launched 'Business & Beyond: The Leaders' Network for CEOs, MDS, & Business Owners'. If you're one, join up... linkedin.com/groups/14251558…
Replying to @jameswatson
Recently I wrote a 34-page doc breaking down in detail (amongst other things) why groups are so insanely powerful. If you missed it, head on over to my Audience and Clients LinkedIn group and request to join.

Statement: Using AI to replace or mimic another human being is unacceptable. Devil's Advocate: It has to be better than many organisations who send untrained salespeople out into the field and then saddle them with targets that force them to behave in the most unethical of ways.
I completely disagree in using #AI to replace or “mimic” another human being. Especially if the intention is to hide the fact that someone is dealing with #Artificialintelligence Do you agree?

Who do you follow in the sales and business fields who Tweets value? So many Tweet only links. It's like sitting under a hose of shit. Clearly, they never use the platform; I don't want to have to read an article elsewhere when I'm on Twitter. Say something of value or jog on.
Getting an unexplainable objection in a meeting?... Do something to change the current tone. If you are taking notes, put your pen down and close your notebook... Using a laptop? Close the lid down. This says "OK, I'm no longer selling to you" and tends to relax your prospect.

To many Tweets... To get healthy: - drink more water. - sleep more. - journal. This advice is ludicrously obvious, I know. But I made the line at the end of the tips slope in/out. So, that makes it worth reading, right? Wrong! Now bugger off.

What you do today echoes in eternity... Well, on the sales leader board anyway.
"I want to be better at Selling..." Probably the most common openning comment I get, when speaking to new people. That generic, blue sky comment is not going to help you. It's time to get specific. Selling isn't a tangible thing... it's a consequence of the things that you do.

First impressions are the bomb. But it's lasting impressions that matter most. Focusing on adding value in EVERY client interaction and seek to create a stronger impression every time you interact.
Here's just one example of where the whole #sales doctrine has been going wrong for decades. You've always been told "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!" right? But it's the last impression, the one that you leave them with, that's 10 x more important!

C suite coaching session... Me: What's your most important thing? Client: X. Me: When did you last do X? Client: I never do X. I don't have the time. Me: What exactly is it that you spend your time doing that is more important than your most important thing? 🎤💣

Basic sales: Know your clients. Advanced sales: Know your clients. Sales mastery: Know your clients. When you do, you realise they ain’t here to read crap about drinking water, meditating, or taking cold showers. Know your clients better than they do and add value at every stage of the sale. Starting on social.
You are hurting your personal brand: • Too many platitudes • Cheap engagement • Strving only for numbers Instead what you should focus on is: • Providing unreal amounts of value • Engaging with quality people • Not checking your followers every 2 minutes It's that easy

I'll ask a bunch of people on Twitter who're studiously avoiding f2f contact what they think of cold calling! Surprise! They're not that into it! Try this: 20% of salespeople win 80% of sales. 20% of your answers said, "Yes" to cold calling working. Listen to the 20%.
halp me twitterland! who thinks cold calling is an effective MSSP #sales #strategy?

Cold calling has given people heart failure for years. Most are too chicken to have a go. So they take a pop instead. Good. The ability to deliver clients from nothing has and always will be an in demand skill.
Cold Calling: yesterday's tweet caused a variety of reactions. I assume we are all only calling property owners. Why wouldn't an owner want to speak to a broker? Property value is not empirical and properties are not traded on an exchange. Its not like a commodities broker calling to give you today's gold price. Commercial properties have a variety of factors that impact value, including what is happening with other properties. Their properties usually make up a significant % of the owner's net worth. Never understood the owner hanging up.
