By the end of her shift she was on Pornhub.
In the video below, Mariah tells it herself. She was sleeping on a couch in San Diego when she started answering modeling ads. Then she walked into a hotel room and saw six studio lights pointed at a bed. Wait for what they say when she calls them.
She says the same operation ran a site that published the women’s personal details the moment each video went up. Her parents’ home address ended up on Reddit.
She went back because she saw no other way to pay for a lawyer. They filmed her twice more.
Michael Pratt, who owned GirlsDoPorn, fled the US and made the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list before he was arrested in Spain. In September 2025 he got 27 years. So many women spoke that day that they were assigned letters. Mariah was U.
Ruben Andre Garcia, the man she says offered her five grand to come back, got 20 years. The company behind Pornhub admitted taking money from the trafficking and agreed to pay $1.8 million.
Should anyone at that site have gone to prison too, or was $1.8 million enough?

There’s a lot of hate and blame directed at the copilot. What I’m not seeing is any basis for the hate and blame, other than: 1) she’s a woman; and 2) she’s young.

Amen, sister! I am absolutely appalled by the people attacking this young lady. As a former Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and instrument-rated pilot, I can tell you one thing: She was NOT the pilot in command! He was the one flying that airplane. He was the one making the decisions about where that aircraft was going, including flying into that weather. She was the second in command, gaining flight experience.
And this nonsense about her texting ten minutes before? Anyone who has flown long cross-country flights knows there can be plenty of downtime in the cockpit. That alone doesn’t tell you what was happening when things went wrong.
Shame on the people attacking this young lady without knowing the facts! Unless you were in that cockpit, you don’t know exactly what happened. Let the investigation determine the facts instead of destroying this young lady’s reputation. It’s absolutely pathetic and appalling!

She relayed critical information to ground control, such as “Look outside!” and “we’re going to crash into the ground!”
I am absolutely sickened by the horrendous comments directed at this heroic young woman who did her duty to the very end.
She wasn’t even the Pilot in Command (PIC). Her job at that time was handling all the comms. The male pilot at the controls had already realized the graveness of the situation and had started praying as there was nothing either of them could do to save the aircraft.
Do not listen to the cockpit audio of her last minutes, please. It should not even have been made public.
Nathalia Filgueiras did her duty under the absolute worst of circumstances. She relayed factual information right up until impact while shoulder-rolling at 60° bank at 600 MPH. The information will be invaluable in the investigation.
Even as she knew her short but amazing 20 years of life were about to end, she devoted those last seconds to saving future lives by providing critical information to ground control that will inevitably save lives in the future by preventing these types of crashes. The very definition of Heroism. At only 20 years old. 😭💔🕯️

Such perfectly feminine wish casting to conflate “passion” with “competence,” as if sincerely wishing to be good at something automatically makes one good at that thing.
The evidence here would seem to the contrary, but of course uncomfortable reality is readily hand-waved into invisibility
I have refrained from statement on this - probably for my own good.
However, I think we've got enough information to call out the nonsense that is floating around.
First, DEI hire - nope. That girl made flying her life - as I see among only the most passionate pilots. My dad being one of them.
Her boyfriend was also a pilot - both of them were absolutely in love with flying.
Now, what seemed to have happened - as I was watching the weather most of the day.
First, we get pretty bad storms, I have screen shots of ceilings at FL300 - 30,000ft - manageable. You fly over them.
Then, we get a single cell that rapidly - faster than I've noticed (abnormal, but not recordbreaking)- grows in size from low pressure and heat below go from 30,000ft to 48,000ft in under ~11 minutes.
So imagine this, you're flying - you're 20-30 minutes from destination and descending is part of the flight plan, at radio check in you're scheduled to be 6,000ft above any weather issues in roughly 9 minutes. After 5 minutes, you're 3,000ft above weather issues, by one minute out, you realize safety margin is rapidly shrinking and request climb, which is granted. By the the time you're over it, you're in the middle of it - where any pilot would avoid any sharp maneuvering mid storm.
All things considered here, I would've loved to see them avoid the entire cell all together, they did ask for a better ride (meaning a different route) - however in the minutes leading up to the loss of control, everything "seemed" avoidable and within safe operating capacities.
Mind you, this is from where I sit. Of course more data will come out and the @NTSB has been on point with their discovery in the past.
Some things to keep in mind:
The information provided here is loose observation, not data science from where I sit - just an aviation expert's 30 minute take on what may have happened.
Weather Radar is often delayed - there is no definitive way of being precise in time or type for weather - which is why tolerances exist.
Your pilots, both of them, worked for an ARG/US rated company - well audited, regularly, for safety. Tragic, close to home, and I know the operation behind it - they have always done a wonderful job.
FWIW - I was in the cockpit at 12 and several times before I even drove a car.
Naturally, people will always bring up the safety in flying private versus commercial - I'll revitalize the metrics that I have kept track of throughout the years and publish that in the coming days.
