MiniMax M3.1 Flash: Space Performance + Bunny Speed
🚀🐰 Yes, Space Bunny - which has topped global leaderboards with 200T+ tokens - was an earlier version of M3.1 Flash.
💰Redefining the performance economics of agentic AI. M3.1 Flash achieves frontier-level intelligence across key tasks such as Cowork (Automation-Bench: 62%; ALE: 30%), Coding (DeepSWE: 74%) and Visual Reasoning (BabyVision: 91%), at 1/3 the cost of M3 and 3x the speed.
API pricing (flat rate): $0.15 / $0.60 per 1M input/output tokens, with cache reads at $0.015 / 1M tokens.
Model weights will arrive on Oct 23.

Here’s how our engineers use Codex at OpenAI to dig through our codebase, find what needs attention, and chip away at the maintenance backlog:
Software maintenance is changing. A few months ago, I had to tell Codex exactly where to look for dead code. Now it can find candidates in Slack, check them against production telemetry, and draft cleanup PRs. Here’s how we do this at OpenAI.

We're expanding access to GPT-Rosalind for academic research.
The new Rosalind Academic Plan helps scientific labs bring AI into the work of understanding biology, exploring ideas, and deciding what to test next—with sponsored access for eligible labs at U.S. universities.
Academic research starts with questions whose impact may take years to impact human health.
A few big upgrades for Chrome users today! We’re bringing the power of computer use to anyone who uses Chrome.
First up: ChatGPT can now use your tabs in Chrome to make answers more useful and get things done for you.
If you’re in Chat, it can look across your open tabs and gather info.
If you’re in Work, ChatGPT can control your Chrome tabs to get things, like sending messages, filling out forms, or downloading files. It can even help you organize and group that pile of tabs you have open.

European businesses are rapidly expanding their use of AI agents. More than half of the AI use among our EU enterprise and business customers now involves these tools, and the number of small business users has grown 8x across the region.
Our latest Economic Research report explores Europe’s shift toward agentic AI—and the opportunity to turn broader adoption into deeper use.

AI capabilities are advancing exponentially by some measures. Infrastructure builds more linearly. Organizations can take years to change.
The result: bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities.

Google DeepMind just moved protein AI from reading structures to designing chemistry.
Its new system, AlphaProtein Novo, generates de novo enzymes for catalytic reactions — including enzymes that can synthesize drug-like piperidines and degrade the plasticizer DEHP, even at 90°C.
The bigger story: AlphaFold learned to read proteins. AlphaProteo learned to design binders. Now AlphaProtein Novo is beginning to design catalysts.
From predicting biology → writing proteins → engineering chemistry.

Introducing AlphaProtein Novo, a pipeline for de novo enzyme design! In collaboration with @francesarnold's group, we developed AP Novo and used it to get SoTA "novel-scaffold" activity on 2 benchmark reactions and create enzymes to synthesize the pharmaceutical motif piperidine and degrade the environmental toxin DEHP.

One more thing, you can now build and deploy MCP servers right through ChatGPT. And restrict its access to anyone you want or share it with the world.
Announcing one more launch: ChatGPT Sites can now host MCP servers, including plugin extensions! 🤯
> @sites create a todo list that I can use in ChatGPT
This will:
· Create an MCP server with extensions
· Deploy that MCP server to Sites
· Turn the MCP server into a plugin
· Install the plugin for you across web, mobile, and desktop
ChatGPT is slowly becoming malleable software that anybody can customize to their needs. Very excited to see what you all build with this!
