European businesses are rapidly expanding their use of AI agents. More than half of the AI use among our EU enterprise and business customers now involves these tools, and the number of small business users has grown 8x across the region. Our latest Economic Research report explores Europe’s shift toward agentic AI—and the opportunity to turn broader adoption into deeper use. openai.com/index/the-eus-nex…

I’d probably stop measuring AI adoption by how many employees have an account pretty soon. once agents do the work, one power user can generate 10x the activity of ten casual users and then teh meaningful metric becomes how much actual workflow has been handed over end to end, not how many seats are technically active.

8x growth in small business users tells you who agents really help: not the giants, but the 5-person team that now ships like 50. 🇪🇺

Ack. Too slow. In China, small merchants are getting agents through Taobao and WeChat. It’s happening really fast cause you have existing digital ecosystems. whoever adopts agents in their small businesses wins distribution. For now.

The naive "SME Founders" celebrate an 8x adoption explosion of agentic AI tools as absolute economic scale genius, completely blind to the catastrophic recursive API margin tax. Stacking raw prompt-driven workflow loops over production data channels without a deterministic token routing layer at the client gateway guarantees your cloud infrastructure burn rate will bankrupt your business model before you achieve actual software ROI. The deterministic runtime token allocation and dynamic routing validation pattern: # Realized Mechanics: Token Optimization Engine and Routing Isolation Gate def verify_agent_economic_viability(): # Enforcing strict programmatic validation barriers over autonomous infrastructure costs active_agent_token_consumption = 8500000 # Multiplied workload token size allowable_infrastructure_budget = 50.00 # Bounded microbusiness budget limit cost_per_million_tokens = 2.50 total_operational_burn = (active_agent_token_consumption / 1000000) * cost_per_million_tokens if total_operational_burn > allowable_infrastructure_budget: raise PermissionError("Budget Exhaustion: Autonomous agent loop execution has violated infrastructure margin boundaries.") if __name__ == "__main__": verify_agent_economic_viability()

so were these improvements made with the use of your models?

This error 'Selected model is at capacity. Please try a different model.' still keeps happening. could we get a reset please!

Small business users growing 8x across Europe is the number that stands out. Agents give a team of five the reach of a much bigger one, and here in the Netherlands that shift is moving fast. Great to see Europe on board, Pete

Check out my Japanese breakdown: xitter.cf/airiaiai8/status/21120…

That's great thatvEU businesses are using openai. If the prices were less a lot of indian businesses would also use it

Adoption numbers are easy to publish. The report that matters, what happened to those workers' wages and roles, never seems to ship.

Ever heard of sub-agents?

Would love to see the sector breakdown.

8x small business users over what stretch of time, and from how many to start?

Why would they ever do that with you threatening their country?
