Dhoni gave some really solid, straightforward advice. If you haven’t heard it yet, definitely give it a listen. It’s not just for Gen Z, but for people of all ages. This advice is especially relevant in today’s time.

Jantar Mantar protests did a world of good to India and Indians. It empowered students across states. It focussed on education as a need, a demand and a right that should be fought for. Indian students are done waiting. A wave of protests have hit UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, MP, Maharashtra & Jharkhand etc.
In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1,500 students, Classes 6-12, staged a 6-hour sit-in at Sarvodaya Inter College. No fans, no library, no computer lab, unsafe drinking water, broken desks. Officials came calling within a day.
In Gays, Bihar, A government school with a broken hand pump, dead fans, shattered benches. Students protested and refused to speak to a junior official. They demanded the District Magistrate himself show up. He did.
In Jalore, Rajasthan, students locked the gates themselves, demanding teachers for grades 1-3 that simply weren’t there.
In Barmer’s Ramsar school, same story. Kids literally not being taught subjects due to staff shortages.
Across MP, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Similar walkouts reported. Same core demands echoing across states: functional fans, clean water, hygienic toilets, teachers actually in the classroom.
What Jantar Mantar protests achieved is exceptional. India is discussing education, faculty shortages, unfairness, paper leaks, lack of school infrastructure. None of these demands are unreasonable and the minimum a public school owes a child. The fact it took a viral sit in to get it fixed is the real story.
I only wish this continues. We should continue to bring student issues to the forefront. Empower them with coverage, conversations. This can’t be allowed to fade as a one week news cycle. Keep asking. Keep covering. About vacant teacher posts in your district? What happened to the school infrastructure budget? Tag your local officials.
Don’t let this fade.
Please don’t let it fade.

This is absolutely what we must presume! Shouldnt the election commissioner's appointment be independent of the govt? What about separation of power? The argument of the govt reeks of bad faith. Calling the CJI an outsider who has no say in ensuring free and fair elections is so flawed! I mean by this logic, examimation papers should also be set by a committee of students and then self assessed and a criminal should investigate his own case. Shouldnt we simply "trust" everyone to act with absolute integrity? Maybe this govt considers itself above principles of natural justice altogether.
During the hearing of the petitions challenging the law governing the appointment of Election Commissioners, the Union government on Wednesday argued before the Supreme Court that a constitutional court cannot begin with an assumption that the Prime Minister would act against democratic principles.

Honest question: How closely are we, as a sports ecosystem, paying attention to the district level?
'coz that’s where the system is often made, or constrained.
While conversations around AI, sports tech, and high performance continue to grow, real change starts at the districts

A powerful reminder: perspective is everything!
I saw this video again today.
Created by the Guardian in 1986.
Still the smartest lesson in human perception.
It hits me every time:
We don’t see reality. We see our angle.
And a small shift can flip the whole story.
In the age of AI, this truth becomes brutal.
Two people can look at the same data, the same model, the same output —
and walk away with opposite conclusions.
Perspective isn’t a soft skill.
It’s a survival skill.
The leaders who win are the ones who can zoom in, zoom out, and question their own certainty.
This old Guardian ad reminds us of a timeless truth:
Change the view. Change the meaning. Change everything.

Basketball Federation of India finally brought before Competition Commission of India - to investigate whether its actions are 'anti-competitive'.
This has been a long time coming, and glad it's being looked into.

For far too long, National Sports Federations of #India have operated as if they 'owned' or 'controlled' their respective sports, rather than being welcoming, encouraging and proactive 'facilitators'.

Looking forward to an in-depth investigation & a progressive, far-reaching final order that could help throw open the #IndiaBasketball space to free, fair and widespread private sector participation.
