The importance of ASCT in primary CNS lymphoma - results of the IELSG43 trial.
- Ph3, 230 pts randomised
- MATRix x4 + BCNU/TT ASCT vs 2x R-DeVIC chemo

Highly convincing results. #lymsm

Great to see a randomised study of CAR-T (zamto-cel) v R-GemOx, transplant ineligible relapsed DLBCL. Whilst there was EFS & PFS benefit for zamto-cel, OS the same and no obvious plateau on PFS curve. Tox of zamto is modest - all grade ICANs 11%. #lymsm

Frame your rejections.
I submitted grant “the Molecular reclassification of cancer” after a call for transformative grants, ~20 years ago. Immediate rejection implying that the idea was outrageous. To add injury to insult, reviewers said I was not qualified to be PI
Such an important message. For NLPHL, adding chemo to RT doesn’t lead to a meaningful improvement in outcomes. We really must avoid over treating these patients. #ISHL14 @JamieFlerlage
Fascinating to hear the patient voice for nodular LP Hodgkin. We often say it’s very low risk, very good outcomes. And that’s true for most. But lack of certainty for the individual is a real a problem. #ISHL14 @JamieFlerlage
The incredible @ABarrettHaem receiving an abstract away at #ISHL14 for her work on older Hodgkin patients. Richly deserved. 👏👏👏

Czechia cologne feed 1: Incredibly good results of the RWE (all comers) advanced cHLs treated with BrECADD in Czechia 🇨🇿100+ pts, medFU over 1y. #ISHL14 kudos to Heidi and all centers!
Fascinating ctDNA workshop at #ISHL14. Amazing progress but more work needed to harmonise mutation-defined subgroups and work out how it affects regimen choice. Trials now being planned to use ctDNA to modify treatments.
Enjoyable debate on whether nodular LP Hodgkin is curable. It’s a no from me! And also from Lena Specht and Christine Maus-Korhoelze. We were up against the formidable David Cutter, Ranjana Advani and Dennis Eichenauer. Did we win? Well our share of the vote increased! #ISHL14
