Just so you know, everyone that switches from smoking to vaping has that problem at first. It’s a combination of your lungs being in bad shape from smoking, and the vapor having a bit more relative weight than the smoke. After switching, you will choke up detritus for weeks, 👇🏼

What I find fascinating is that a cancer society is so uninterested in helping people who SMOKE CIGARETTES! Why is that???

Ok so we are throwing out common sense? Harm reduction is 100% common sense. If cigarettes were replaced with less harmful products, it would be a Public Health win 🧐Includes adults & youth. I started as a teenager, if it was less harmful nicotine products then I could have avoided a lot of health issues associated with cigarettes.

The cowards and reality deniers at the American Cancer Society (@ACSNews and @ACSCAN) hid my post pointing out their misinformation and that they no longer seem to care about cancer. Here it is again. xitter.gq/Clive_Bates/status/211… You can burn your reputation, but you can't hide it.
Since 2021, the @FDA has authorized 65 new flavored tobacco products—including e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches that appeal to kids. That’s 65 times @FDATobacco has put Big Tobacco’s profits ahead of protecting kids. We’re keeping score.

Another reply hidden by @ACSCAN. 👇 If you hide it, I'll repost it. It's that simple.

I report this bot to "X" every day. Please do the same. Every day it posts the same lie claiming "high rates of youth vaping and nicotine use." It is impervious to Health Canada survey evidence. No sane person would call this "high rates." health-infobase.canada.ca/su…

Luckily, that's changing. It is changing despite @AmericanCancer Society's best efforts to discourage people smoke from quitting by vaping. Adult Use (CDC): ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…; cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_… Lung cancer (NIH/NCI): seer.cancer.gov/statfacts/ht…

Reposting this reply simply because @ACSCAN doesn't want anyone seeing it, so they have hidden it (along with other replies).

What happens when you find NO increase in inflammatory markers in the e-cigarette group but an increase in the control group (who were NOT using e-cigarettes)? You conclude that e-cigarettes cause inflammation!!! AMAZING! cancerpreventionresearch.aac…

Sky News has a short video following yesterday's article by Boidin et al in JAMA Cardiology. Here's a clip from it featuring Dr. Matthew Evison, a Professor of Respiratory Medicine and one of the authors.

This 👇🏾 would apply to the @WHO @FCTCofficial and a large majority of Tobacco Control academics researching how to convince governments to pass and strengthen prohibitionary laws to stop people using non-tobacco non-combustible nicotine products, and how to further stigmatise and criminalise people who smoke tobacco.
If your opinion about a scientific subject cannot be changed by evidence, it's not a scientific opinion.

Illicit trade, including in tobacco and vapes, is NOT a victimless crime. It’s not just retailers being extorted, threatened with death and having their shops burned down (eg in Australia). What we don’t hear about are the horror stories about human trafficking, rape and sexploitation of children and young women kidnapped by criminal gangs taking advantage of the lack of regulations and prohibitionary regulations banning legitimate vape products and tobacco — Michael Ellis (ex Scotland Yard, expert in illicit trade enforcement) at the Asia Forum on Nicotine 2026, Manila, Philippines. An example was young women held captive who make products during the day and are traded for sex on the streets at night.

We are publicly asking @SeattlePD and @GovBobFerguson to consider reopening the Kurt Cobain case. In 1994, authorities publicly characterized Cobain’s death as self-inflicted before a full forensic analysis could be completed. In 2005, then-SPD Chief Gil Kerlikowske asked former Capt. Neil Low to audit the case. Low was given full access to the case file and concluded the evidence pointed to a homicide and that the case should be reopened. In 2025, a multidisciplinary team published a peer-reviewed study in the International Journal of Forensic Sciences concluding that its analysis of the publicly available evidence was inconsistent with a self-inflicted death and supported homicide. We believe Kurt Cobain’s death deserves to be investigated as a potential homicide, without beginning from the preconceived assumption that it was self-inflicted. Whoever was responsible could be walking free to this day. For those who want to examine the evidence for themselves, see our full investigation here: youtube.com/watch?v=Osb9eF2R…

We are seeking copies of former smokers lung X-rays & the radiographer’s findings from before you quit smoking, followed by another X-ray and set of findings after you have been an exclusive vaper for at least 3 years. To meet the criteria, you must have smoked for at least 1)4

Public service announcement: When switching from smoking to vaping, you may cough a bit at first. Don’t think it’s caused by vaping. It’s a combination of your lungs being in terrible shape from smoking, and the vapor having a bit more relative weight than smoke. 👇🏼

You will cough up horrible, viscous substances for weeks, perhaps months, at which point you will have no problem with the vapor, and enjoy your brand new lungs. 🤲🏻 👇🏼

The veracity of this statement is unquestionable. Any one of the millions of adults that have switched can verify it. Now, ask yourself why your public health authorities have not informed you of this. 🤔
