When deciding to move back to Mississippi almost 15 years ago, there were two things that were for certain. 1. My family was living in Hinds County. 2. I was going to teach in Jackson Public Schools.
So many Mississippi organizations should be given their flowers for what happened. I could drop a few names but I don’t want to leave anybody out.
This is a testament to the leadership pipeline built here in Mississippi. When you invest in Mississippi, great things happen.

Man I know that feeling, that feeling of anxiousness the night before the election. I ran in 2024. That too was a big election year.
My work has brought me to John R Lynch Street. It’s an honor to now be working where the late great Medgar Evers’ office once was, the place where the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party convention was held.
