NEW: GOP Sen. Roger Marshall wrote a bill to exempt a new type of farm product from pesticide rules. His wife is invested in a company that sells them.

I held a public town hall in Oakley this afternoon. People gave up part of their weekend to come, and they brought their questions with them. 603 days ago, Roger Marshall held a town hall in Oakley. He called the crowd one of the rudest audiences he’d ever had, ended the event early, and walked out. He hasn't held one since. Later he said town halls like this had become “non-productive” and “dangerous.” I don’t believe that. I looked out at that room today and saw good, hardworking people concerned about important issues. Farmers worried about the cost of diesel and fertilizer. Parents trying to figure out how they’ll pay for health care. Neighbors looking out for families who are struggling to put food on the table. We didn’t agree on everything, but we had an honest conversation about how I’ll fight for them in Washington. That’s what this job is, and Kansans deserve a senator who stays and listens. Thank you, Oakley. – AH

#KansasSenate Adam Hamilton on transgender rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.” “I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”

Former KS House Republican Majority leader endorses Adam Hamilton over Roger Marshall “By this point in the election cycle, we are all fed up with the constant barrage of election messaging. We are ready for it to stop. We long to see ambulance-chasing lawyer ads on TV, cute animal videos on social media, and we are even looking forward to the day our mailbox contains nothing more than bills. The messaging barrage is relentless, but accomplishes very little. If we desire clarity before we enter the voting booth, we need to shut out all that noise and examine the evidence before our eyes. In the Kansas campaign for U.S. Senator, we can judge incumbent Senator Roger Marshall on his record — by his actions and by his inaction. By that metric, he has failed Kansas time and again. Roger Marshall failed to speak out while the Trump administration’s actions hurt international trade alliances which Kansas farmers, consumers, and businesses depend upon. He has defended ill-conceived tariffs that continue to devastate Kansas’s economy. He regularly shows up on cable preaching about the threat of immigration but then quietly pleads for amnesty when ICE raids target our workforce in southwest Kansas. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth on issues critical to Kansas agriculture. Roger Marshall has enthusiastically supported tax policy which further enriches the wealthiest, while average Kansans fall further behind. And he has remained in support of an ill-conceived Iran war, which has created significant negative effects on the U.S. economy — easily seen in $4 a gallon gas and $6 a gallon diesel. And finally, Marshall has turned a blind eye to rampant corruption within the administration and has supported them in their refusal to bring justice to the thousands of victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. Roger Marshall’s actions and inactions demonstrate his choice to ignore the needs and wishes of his constituents. He has chosen instead to do the bidding of his fat-cat donors and to consistently, unthinkingly, and obediently follow the wishes of the president. If we allow him to continue to ignore his constituents, we are telling him that it is OK. We are telling him that he can ignore us without consequence. This is how representative government dies. When we consider the alternative, Pastor Adam Hamilton, we can look to his well-respected background as a church founder and pastor. That is a wonderful and inspiring story, and I have seen it firsthand by attending his church on a few occasions. But we can also examine his words during the campaign even as we acknowledge that he must prove those words in office. Adam promises to lead and govern from the center, with compassion and understanding; or, as he has claimed on the campaign trail, he will use his brain, his heart, and his courage on behalf of all Kansans. He has pledged to avoid extremes and to be present and accessible to Kansans. These are just words at this point, but I certainly like what I hear, and I believe it is time to give the new guy a chance. As a 12-year veteran of the Kansas Legislature, I certainly understand how the system works. But I also earnestly believe that there will be times when a legislator must take an unpopular stand when it is of great importance to his or her constituents. Failure to do so inevitably leads constituents to ask why their representative is even in office, and for whom he serves. Increasingly, Roger Marshall’s constituents are asking exactly those questions. It is time for Roger to go. It is time to put our trust in @Hamilton4Kansas. I respectfully ask you to join me in doing so. — Don Hineman, of Dighton, is a rancher and former member and Republican majority leader in the Kansas House of Representatives. The war in Iran is driving up costs for gas and fertilizer. It’s crushing farmers.

Roger Marshall has voted 14 times to stay in the war. We’ve got to get out and bring costs down. To deliver relief now, let's temporarily suspend the gas tax.

Democratic strategist @GuyCecil said it right, Republican strategist Jason Theilman will be apologising for this later. This clearly reminds us that the Rs simply have no good argument to present to the voters. Jason Theilman played the racist card during an insiders political discussion about how the senate races were going. Guy handled it like a real pro. Dana Bash was gobsmacked. mediaite.com/media/tv/cnns-d…

“We’re going to vote you out.” A woman shouted that as Roger Marshall ended his town hall in Oakley on March 1, 2025. That was 591 days ago. It remains his last reported open, in-person public town hall. Listen to the exchange: CONSTITUENT: “…as far as cutting out those jobs, a huge percentage of those people—and I know you care about the veterans—are veterans.” OTHER VOICE: “Yes.” CONSTITUENT: “And that is a damn shame.” OTHER VOICES: “Yes. Yeah.” CONSTITUENT: “I’m not a Democrat, but I’m worried about the veterans.” MARSHALL: “Well, I yielded to one of my—my elders, and I appreciate his comments. I think it’s a great—I’m not gonna—we don’t have time for everyone to stand up. I do got two more commitments today. Appreciate everybody making the drive out, and God bless America.” VOICE FROM THE CROWD: “We’re gonna vote you out!” He ended the meeting early without answering that man’s concern about veterans losing their jobs. Since then, Marshall voted to send more troops to Trump’s war in Iran. He voted for cuts to Healthcare and food assistance for Kansans. He defended tariffs and a trade war hurting farmers, even acknowledging the “short-term pain.” Kansas families have been living with the consequences. Tomorrow, October 14, Kansas advance voting begins. Check your county’s schedule for in-person voting. That woman’s words have waited 591 days for their moment at the ballot box. Starting tomorrow, Kansans can begin delivering it. Vote on or before Nov 3 #KsLeg #veterans #election2026

Aw. Here's one of Marshall's lawsuits where the defendant says Marshall personally set his lawyers after a grandfather because his insurance would not cover the birth of his daughter's child. Marshall sued and charged 18% to a man who never even sought treatment from him!
Thank you, Deb. It was the honor of my life to care for tens of thousands of patients in rural Kansas. Thank you for telling your story.

Not long after my interview with Adam Hamilton of Kansas aired on This Week, Trump attacked him "deranged", "disgusting", a "lunatic" and a bunch of other things. Here's how Hamilton responded to JD Vance saying his views are "not Christianity"

Per my review: -Trump has pardoned 9 of the last 11 GOP congressmen to be convicted of federal crimes. -His DOJ has indicted, tried to indict, or taken investigative steps against 13 Democrats currently serving in Congress.

🚨 Kansas Republican Governor Mike Hayden endorses Adam Hamilton: Kansans work hard. They deserve a senator who works just as hard for them... I supported Roger Marshall before, but he has put party and politics ahead of the people of Kansas. It's time for a change.
